While I was hooking up a trailer the dog stepped on the door lock button. I couldn't get her to step on the unlock button until someone brought me french fries. One on top of the door outside the window next to the button finally did the trick.
The skipping feeling is definitely gone. I've been able to use my auto 4wd setting any time I want. I used it on I81 tonight running 75 to ..uh.. 90 with no problem. That was in heavy rain. Ive used it in the dry as well. I'm calling it a tire diameter problem.
Did you ever mention if the black one is AWD or 4WD or just 2WD? That makes a huge difference in comparing the two. I like white with tan. It's what mine is.
I think it's more about filtering out the blue component of the light than putting a yellow tint on it. Blue light creates more glare and less useful light for human eyes. I really would like properly designed fog lights with the correct color temperature from the factory. LEDs are great for...
I'll take a look at the Morimotos. You know I didn't even realize I had a running lights setting. In my defense I was hustling down back roads in heavy fog at the time.
USB chargers can draw a lot of power and the 12v outlets aren't switched so if you leave one plugged in even without anytime plugged into it it will draw. I pull mine loose any time I'm not charging my phone.
I drove in some serious thick fog a few days ago. I kicked on my fog lights for the first time since buying this 2009 Tahoe LTZ in July. Yay, they came on! Sadly I still couldn't see. Too much backscatter from my headlights. Okay, I gave my light switch a twist counterclockwise. As I hoped the...
If it's just that bolt you want I'd get a couple of fire extinguishers and an oxy-acetylene torch and throw a lot of heat on the bolt. Also note that using a giant impact on it usually just hammers all the play in the bearings, rods, etc. You want steady torque. Find a way to clamp the harmonic...
I started considering what it would take to do something like that on my 2009. Unfortunately I have VERY little clearance over my truck to my garage entrance (not just the door!)
My thinking was to go old school on the front supports and either just use a really solid suction cup or consider...
Back when I built NHTSA's web site this would have been called a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB). If you go to https://www.safercar.gov/ and look up your vehicles it shows a number of types of information including recalls, tsbs (now called dealer communications it looks like), and complaints...
Just got nice new Michelins and now the interior of my truck is so much quieter. In the new quiet I can start to hear other noises.
Driving down the interstate on a breezy day I noticed a kind of thumping noise over the sound of my stereo. I muted that and listened. The thumps aren't regular by...
I've had my best luck hitting the side of the joint with a large hammer while putting a little pressure on it with a pry bar. Deforming the taper fit joint for a second can also let some perpetrating oil get in. Plus it doesn't ruin the threads.
I finally bought a full set of new Michelins and at least for the moment the problem is gone. I'm sticking with the theory of different diameter fron and rear tires making the transfer case keep shifting in and out of 4wd.
Funny when I looked at it before I didn't realize it's 2 wheel drive, not 4 or all wheel drive? At least where my truck has a selector there is none. Maybe that's full time all wheel drive?
Just my opinion but I really want something modern to stream bluetooth from the factory. Preferably Pandora.
I know you can add it but there seems to be some snag to every solution I've seen. Life was simpler with my 1996 Buick. The radio in that was just for radio or cd. Pretty much anything...
Funny. I'd love to get rid of my 2009 LTZ rims with the flaking chrome and get a set of 17s in place of them.
Here in East TN I'd prefer taller sidewalls for off roading between the rocks.
I replaced the right rear glass and took apart the rear quarter area with the AC compressor in it to vacuum all the broken glass out. Now that it's back together I have a rattle. I guess I missed something putting it all back together.
It could be something was missed during assembly at the...
