The owners manual says to use the parking brake in case of brake failure I mean I would use it anyway even if the manual didn’t say so because it’s a whole separate braking system also DOT requires a functioning parking brake this section is for single engine vehicles under 10k pounds with...
I believe everything but the cylinder hardware is complete they basically took off the old shoes and piston adjusters and pins. $25 ish and it should work unless something is broken in the piston.
Caliper is fine it was just sticking because it was maxxed out I tested them and they moved freely once I shifted it more closed with new pads at worst I’ll get a new caliper later bigger priority is fixing the rear end so if anything happens i atleast have a emergency brake.
I found the stuff I need I think I’m ignoring the aftermarket hex for now because it’s $8 to replace, and I have the proper tool to remove it im gonna need a $25 cylinder hardware kit but then I can have 4 working corners
They had a non factory hex bolt on the caliper so I figured whatever just means they’ve been in here *pulls off brake rotor*
I wondered why I didn’t have a parking brake.
Isn’t the dimming glass on variable voltage? I think the only way is to splice onto the BCM yet again they sell mirror glass for the factory mirrors but I needed tow mirrors as well
Yes I just didn’t wanna mess with the BCM harness because if i mess up the BCM harness it’s a automatic mechanics trip the way I did it the worst that could happen is a blown fuse from crossed wires. this required just sticking a wire into the socket for the LED bulb and hood pin ground I only...
I just stuck my positive into the positive turn signal clip that isn’t the running light positive signal. and stuck my led back in and grounded it on the hood pin those rubber things that stick up on both sides. and ran it between the panel gaps from the factory. besides tearing up my right...
I’m not worried about them knocking off in the car wash, I’m worried about their overall build quality do they work, yes do you have to use the power mirror turning reverse on the right side? Yes., do the blinkers work by plugging into the positive and grounding the negative into the hood posts...
So I’m starting to feel the classic transmission slip between reverse to drive and hard takeoff. I’m replacing wheel speed sensors but if that doesn’t fix it I’m looking at building my 4l60E. I’m not building for big power just a tune (California), haven’t gotten a tune yet but I’m waiting to...
TLDR: check here again by the 30th and there’ll be step by step instructions to have power mirrors without splicing into the body control module wires (bad idea) $130 in total no soldering required however I will solder. EDIT: I just ordered the $100 mirrors and 100 feet worth of +- red/black...
I found another set that’s plug and play m $100 Minus turn signal wiring EDIT: you also need automotive electrical wire and 2 deans/ hobby connectors and a $5 soldering iron and solder if you wanna install them like a professional or 4 wire caps.
The colors pretty much match up to the factory harness so if you cut the plug off the old mirror and follow the chart on the product images you can plug it in like it’s a factory harness minus the blinker which you can use 2 deans connectors for (professionally)
I figured out the wiring basically in short these will not work (easily) you have to merge those three plugs together if you want I can make a wiring diagram but basically these won’t just plug in because of the way they did the heated mirrors+power+ blinker to get the blinker to work you have...
So I wanna order these today because my broken mirror is almost causing accidents I have factory power mirrors and heated but not turn signals , do I need to run a wire to the turn signals or am I missing something I don’t care about heated mirrors I just want turn signals I already have power...
