Years ago, I opted to use the 5100 shock with my lowering coils and discovered it offered the best rude quality amongst all my other setups.
The 5100 shock is the exact same length as the stock shock. Also, keep in mind I am using shock extenders in the rear also so the factory shock geometry...
Hey guys,
It's been a while I posted. I recently did a rear shock change on my Yukon because the ride just wasn't very good lately.
Keep in mind the car is lowered with Belltech spindles up front, then coils out back with shock extenders. I also have a Hotchkiss rear sway bar. Also have 26s...
It's the perfect time of year!
Haha I would not mind! I will have to wait circa a year or so though because I read that the next generation SUVs got pushed back until next Spring/Summer. :-(
We can sometime later this month after my vacation!
I honestly think the stock end links are very low quality. They don't look very strong.
On my last Tahoe, I had the shorter DJM end links for lowered SUVs, then custom Energy Suspension end links up front. Those energy links looked brand new...
Thanks man and you are close by to me!
I do not plan on doing the front bar. I just wanted the rear to lose the cornering sway it has always had, even after lowering.
I am suspecting that your bushing were not greased enough (or at all) for them to become so damaged so quickly. Do you know if...
Thank you Joey.
The sway bar really tightened up the rear end. It handles corners a lot better at any speed. Also made the rear end ride smoother.
I picked up the brake kit locally from the dealership, then sent it off to be recoated because the factory red color is ugly.
The next generation GM full size SUVs will be 2020s. They probably won't hit lots until August though. The Escalade maybe a bit later in the year around October.
I think GM is just waiting to kill back inventory. Then they'll schedule a release date.
Thanks!
The stock ones look so tiny behind 26s. Especially this specific one since it exposes so much of the brake assembly.
Here was a pic right before with the stock black wheels and brakes.
I think I'm done with mods after the blower. The blower is also still in the air.
The new GM full size SUVs hit the road soon so I better start saving and prepping to sell the current Yukon.
I also forgot to post a buddies Yukon I did for him over a weekend project. I did the same Belltech kit I have on mine, plus 26" Lexani wheels with Lexani tires.
Also did a Flowmaster Super 44 exhaust with a dual walled tip.
GM 6 Piston brake kit going on soon.
Custom Pismatic powdercoated brake calipers and Stoptech stainless steel brake lines.
Also flushing the brake fluid and changing the rear pads to Powerstop Z36 pads.
May also chunk in a blower too. Deciding between a TVS1900 and TVS2300.
Hey guys/gals, here are new in the box set of 24" Giovanna line Koko Kuture Massa 7 Wheels in gloss black.
Specs are:
24x10"
6x5.5 / 6x139.7 bolt pattern.
+30mm offset.
78.1 mm hub bore.
These will fit almost all GM SUVs and Trucks from 2000 - 2019.
If you are not familiar with the...
The LEDs fogs are an almost match to the LED headlights. They have about a 6k temperature hue, compared to the 5k of the headlights.

I did my own research on the Dub Future in the GM bolt pattern and +30 offset. It has a 78mm hub so that is not your issue.
The only other thing I can think that will cause vibrations is a bad balance, torque values on the wheels, or the rotor clips that I remember from back in the day.
I am not...
You may want to have the hub bore on the wheels checked. If the hub bore on the new wheels does not match with the car (78mm) you will get vibrations. If your hub bore is higher than 78, then you will need hub rings.
Also would not hurt to check how tight the wheels are torqued to. Should be...
Lol I am guessing all the old admins are gone. I remember JKMotorsports and Shaggy being admins back then.
I wonder if Boostaholic is still on here. He had one of my favorite NBS SUVs.
The speedometer is off due to the tire being 1" greater in overall diameter than my OEM setup was. It does not...
