Has anybody found a decent portable compressor/inflator?

I've been considering on board air. Not big on carrying a compressor and a battery, so looking at 12V plug in units.

Has anybody found a decent portable compressor/inflator?

How durable are the hoses and valves on the ones mentioned? The el cheapo Harbor Freight and Tractor Supply type ones have a problem there. Won't clamp on and hold, hoses degrade, crack and leak, etc.

Has anybody found a decent portable compressor/inflator?

Anything I've ever found has had trouble airing up a lawn mower tire, let alone something on a larger vehicle. Can't break the budget either though.

What did you do to your OBS GMT400 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Check your rules. I can get Historic plates, but that means I couldn't drive it daily. Only parades and special events, or for service.

I can't believe I've had this thing for a year and a half.

    Are OBD-Y cables OK?

Got the Y and it solved my issue with knee room. Insurance gizmo is now up and out of the way, stuck near the dash where it can get a better signal to phone home. Also picked up a Reader from HF that seems to work OK on the other leg of the Y. It can record 'live data' and save it in charts...

What did you do to your OBS GMT400 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I still need to check and see if my spare will drop. Haven't tried it yet. Probably need to squirt some Blaster up in there anyways. Considering buying tires if I can get the right sale and I guess it needs to be all five. Mine LOOK fine, lots of tread and all, but you can't really tell by...

New To Me 98 Tahoe, Green

I did that and went through them all. No leak downs since, but they only rarely leaked before, so I'm not sure it mattered. Left front goes down just a bit, but not much.

What do I need to reset codes?

If I'm going to take it off, I'm going to have a new one on hand and replace it. Rock and a couple of other places have them for under $20 BUT, I likely won't be doing anything until October when it cools down again.

What do I need to reset codes?

Also does ABS codes which showed me 'Front Right Wheel Speed Sensor' errors and a couple of others. Might look into what it takes to deal with that. Not really concerned about the Evap code since it doesn't affect operation and we don't have testing here. As shown below, 8th digit is 'R'...

What do I need to reset codes?

Works. Pulls up all sorts of data and records 'Live Data' while engine running. Also has an Enhanced Code mode for GM products which showed all sorts of MAP sensor and other codes (about 40) but I can't tell when they were set or if any work was done afterwards. It allowed me to clear...

What do I need to reset codes?

Grabbed a Zurich ZR11s from HF with a $20 off coupon. Charts say it will do what I want. If anybody thinks it's junk let me know before I open it and cost myself a $20 restock fee.

What do I need to reset codes?

I got a new gas cap because the previous one had a lock that didn't always seem to work quite right. This one does not lock. Code issue didn't seem to change.

What do I need to reset codes?

I have a recurring P0442 code for 'small evaporative emissions system leak'. Auto stores will sometimes reset it for me, but they don't seem to want to and it just comes back after a couple of months. I don't know what causes it and don't have the money for a shop to fiddle with it for days to...

Factory Roof/Luggage Rack, Additional Tie Down Ciips?

I have the original, factory installed roof luggage rack. Works fine, all intact and clean. But there are times when I might want to use a mid point tie down (long board or piece of pipe for example). Are there clips available that will lock into the tracks?

What did you do to your OBS GMT400 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Mine came with one, but I don't know if it was GM original or not. I replaced it with a non locking version since it didn't seem to want to stay unlocked and I almost couldn't get it open to fuel up one day. Got ready to go to town today. I keep a roll of blue paper shop towels under the...

Harbor Freight Coupon - UPDATED - Current Coupons

This is the wording from an old coupon ... how they used to read. I'd go in and find five items in the $8-9 range .... Maybe they still do it sometimes, but this used to be the norm. .

Harbor Freight Coupon - UPDATED - Current Coupons

Stopped in to the local one yesterday. They had the Daytona 3 ton on sale/coupon for $129, but I couldn't convince myself to pop for it just quite yet. 30% off a SINGLE item? When did they change that? It used to be good for up to 5 items.

Harbor Freight Coupon - UPDATED - Current Coupons

I need a floor jack. The two I have are decades old and don't really work very well any more. They were cheap, cheap when I bought them. One may have come from Monkey Wards. But I'm not spending big buck on the fancy ones either. I'm not sure I'll ever lift the Hoe, maybe not even the...
