Short person driver having a problem......remedy?

Yes, I was joking, not trying to be snarky. Sorry if it sounded that way.

    back at it

Nice! I would be very interested in your opinions comparing the 23 to the 08. We hear a lot of things on this Forum about how good the "old" ones are and how bad the new ones (2021 and up) are. What do you think?

    What to buy

If you can afford it, buy something new and just enjoy it. Despite all of the negative things you may hear on this Forum, and that's OK, the new versions of these vehicles have a lot to offer and are a real pleasure to drive.

Problems With New Engines And How It Is Handled

My advice, pick what you like and don't worry too much about it. In our case we went from our 2007 Sequoia to a 2022 Denali. We tried a 2021 Grand Cherokee L (too small), looked at the Wagoneer, Expedition, Sequoia, Tahoe, and just like the Yukon much, much more than any of them. Yes, things...

How to know if oil has been changed at dealership

Maybe the Dealer mechanic couldn't get the drainplug out either! I have never heard of black oil after an oil change.

Just installed the S&B Cold Air Intake.

So how do you like the cold air intake? Do you notice any difference?

    2025 yukon debut and predictions

I have been keeping an eye on these new vehicles and there are a couple at the local Dealers. Strange that there is no "Build One" yet on the GMC website. I do plan on taking a test drive of both the Traverse and the Acadia. I am also waiting to see the 2025 Buick Enclave. What I am really...

    Anyone have a crooked exhaust - 6.2l?

Ours is a little off as well. Maybe a half inch. I never noticed it until this post. For me, no big deal, but I do understand the frustration of a detail like this being "off".

What’s wrong with those tires on the pictures?

Check the tire date codes. It could be that they had a flat and replaced two tires, who knows? The worn ones might be older than the better ones.

Which center console do you prefer?

I thought the sliding console was more a gimmick at first, but after having it I like it a lot. Most of the time it is just me and my Wife, so no issue with any second row riders. It opens up a perfect space for the Wife's purse. It also fits a grocery bag just fine. I definitely prefer it to...

Feature / build differences: MY2024 Suburban RST vs. Yukon XL SLT

For us the big difference is the interior. I am not a fan of black interiors and that rules out a lot of vehicles and configurations. We have a Yukon with the sand interior with brown dash and floor carpets.

Do I have to go? I got a new (to me) Silverado.

My neighbor just brought home a brand new Sierra, told me that he got a really good deal on it, and wanted a vehicle "like my Yukon". I haven't asked him to move.

Odd behavior, possibly due to damaged battery?

There is another thread here under Engine/Drivetrain that mentions battery draw from the 3rd row seating Latch? sensor? whatever. That thread mentions other possible battery draws as well. Check it out.

Rusty Calipers - issue or just cosmetics

Like everyone is saying, take a close look underneath. They may have made a trip to Daytona Beach in not gotten it washed off as well as they should have.

Maybe not all 6.2's have the bad lifter bore/ bearing wear issues

I don't know what the statistics are, but there are many 6.2 engines that will not see those problems (knock on wood) our 2022 has 18k, so far so good. If something does happen I will certainly be reporting it to the Forum.

Lake Speed Jr, Oil Additives = Snake oil (video)

It is one thing to feel good about or believe in something, quite another to deal with evidence of what works and how well. Here is a short story for you: My sister bought an old Chevy pick-up back around 1973, so it was from the early sixties. I asked about the black oil on the dipstick and...

Help me decide (keep current or get new)

With 90k I would seriously consider trading it. Obviously you drive a lot so trade it in before your mileage goes over 100k and the trade in value drops even more.

If you didnt have a Yukon/Suburban/Escalade, what would be your next choice?

I would look seriously at the Wagoneer. We had a 2021 Grand Cherokee L. Liked it very much but it was just too small. I did drive a Wagoneer before buying the Yukon, so that should tell you something. Our son is driving our old 2007 Sequoia. What a great vehicle!

    Steering Wheel - Too Far?

Understood. I am 6' 3" and yes, this or that could be different (better), more range to the adjustment, etc., but I have always felt very comfortable in our 2022 Denali. I do not feel at all that I need to overreach for the steering wheel, or that the wheel is too thin. Maybe I am just not...

Air/hydraulic noise coming from brake pedal when being applied. This is a 2023 Yukon Denali ultimate.

When our 2022 Denali was new there were a couple of times when something unusual happened with the brake pedal. It might be what you describe but I am having trouble remembering exactly what it did. I think after driving, then stopping, going to park, setting the parking brake, and turning off...
