I can see how that selected option would enhance driving / towing around town.
Once I am on open freeway driving hundreds of miles on flat interstate, would it be a good or bad idea to turn off the trailering button and just use normal transmission for greater fuel economy ?
Yea neither of those 2 codes are listed on the glove box dealio sticker. So I would think it is safe to assume my Yukon does NOT have a factory tow package.
So that stated, chances are slim it has an oversized xmission cooler or anything similar I am guessing.
How would I know or find out if my 2007 Yukon has a factory tow package?
I am researching brake controllers and I guess this is needed info.
I know enough about towing a trailer to be dangerous.
I have my VIN 1gkfk13047j283176
of course I have a tow hitch and wiring harness plug on the...
Is this all I need to set up my rig with trailer brakes ?
I have done a ton of real world commercial / industrial electrician work. I am guessing I can plug in and mount this mickey mouse doo dad in my '07 Yukon to prep it to haul a 20 foot enclosed cargo trailer next year.
Seems to be a...
Looking into brake pad replacement for my Yukon ( 2007 4WD ) Has original brakes still on it ( just 75K miles )
Heard a slight grind noise the 1st time yesterday on braking from the front right side, was slow near stop speed so that is why I heard it so easily.
What is the best reccommended...
Nice looking rig for a 22yo vehicle ! And welcome to the forum.
Read that you plan to trade it in after another 30K miles ? You must like paying sales tax more than me, as I keep vehicles routinely for a min of 10-15yrs and currently working on upping that to 20-25yrs with the Yukon I bought...
I still have a like new Makita original set in the blue plastic case in my garage. They had the real tall skinny batteries ( I think like 9.8v or something ) Then Dewalt came out with the 14v models and the Makita 9v became extinct like dinosaurs. I could never bring myself to put mine for sale...
be sure to include RockAuto.com, GMPartsGiant.com, and GMPartsDirect.com in your search
Thanks for the heads up - I quoted and replied ( this is my low tech way to save the parts links so I can find them in the future when needed )
Looks great ! Nice looking GMC you have there ( my retired GM plant father thanks you )
I just use old school garden hose - 5 gal bucket with warm water and generic car wash solution and a Costco car wash brush I bought 10 years ago.
Had my Yukon for 15yrs and I am positive it ain't never been...
I did Lemon Law in WA state back in 1993 on a Dodge Cummins diesel 3/4 ton pickup truck.
Entire process took about 8-10 months if I recall correctly.
They ( Chrysler ) had to buy back my truck and I got back 100% of sales tax I paid ( close to $2K ) truck was $24K brand new plus tax title...
Ex union electrician here ( I have cut / spliced 1000s of cables and used every type crimp connector and or shrink tube on the market ( 20yrs ago )
Yes ratcheting cable cutters like the Klein pair pictured will cut braided aluminum or copper wire cable much better than anything else ( from very...
Yea the only good thing about the I-5 bridge connecting Vancouver WA and Portland OR is the Columbia river beneath it !
Caught this beauty a few years ago in the Columbia river. Caught it next to the Ilwaco- Astoria bridge over the river ( closer to the pacific ocean than the I-5 bridge ) about...
All these dealers will be singing a different tune about 12-18 months from now when …
1. interest rates double on financing and less people are shopping for $$88K vehicles ( or able to afford them )
2. the supply chain woes clears itself up and inventory sits on the lot
3. the economy moves...
Yea it's painful to fill up a large gas tank these days for sure.
I have a little shit box '08 Camry with a 4 cyl that I use for any trip that will be over 20 miles round trip. It helps a little.
I buy my OEM oil filters 1-2 at a time for my Yukon. I recently switched to Mobil 1 synthetic and only change the oil once a year ( i only drive maybe 4K miles a year )
Back when i had my '95 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo ( 4.0 litre inline 6cyl ) I bought the Factory oil filters by the case...
Woo Hoo !
USPS just delivered my Husky WeatherBeater floor mats.
And to think I was disappointed to discover that factory OEM original carpeted replacements were no longer available.
Thanks to everyone here who recommended the Husky brand. They look great and the sharp points on the underside...
