    AWD vs 4WD

How’s your tire tread? If one side has considerable tread compared to the other, side to side or front to rear can cause binding in the drive train. Tires with smaller tread will spin faster than a tire with more tread.

Bunch of electronics stopped working. Where to even begin!?

Well the sounds, are played through the speakers. Did you reinstall the old radio? It’s possible you may have not reconnected the harness connector properly or may have left a ground off. You’re going to have to retrace what you did.

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

In the process of rebuilding my rear end. Bought a boneyard rear end few months ago. Recently it started making a train noise when off the gas. Somehow the right rear clip broke or came loose, who knows how it happened or if someone been in there before.

16 volts charging 2004 Tahoe LT 5.3L flex fuel

Your charging system is computer controlled. It looks at the battery soc state of charge, air temp, input commands like headlights, tow/haul mode and determine the output of the alternator. It can charge 15.5 but may jump up to 16v but should not be a constant 15.5+. How’s your battery? If...

Texas Speed vs Speed Engineering headers

American Racing. These are absolutely beastly. The sound it gives my truck and believe it or not, I am running oem piping cat back system. I did the resonator delete, welded in a magnaflow muffler. I run their 1 7/8 header with a catted y section, but honestly, it looks like a bump in the...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Junk yard rear end I put in started making noise on when off the gas. Sounded like a train. Turns out the c clip on the right axle somehow came off and sheared the end of where the clip holds it in place. The only thing holding my axle in was the caliper. Time to do a rebuild. It’s the...

    Engine and or Suspension problems

I’d say have your motor mounts checked. Worn or broken mounts will give you the symptoms you described. Espically at idle and changes between 8 and 4 mode.

Opening rear hatch when battery is completely dead?

Unless there an access cover on the rear panel so you can access the latch, I don’t think so. You could however put a portable jump pack on the terminals and operate it that way

    LED headlights bulbs kill DRL

That’s becuase of voltage spikes that can reach above 14v. Not many bulbs can handle that much and that explains why you see a lot of GM with one drl out. Since leds require less power to run, it won’t take much to overload them either

    A/C Blowing Warm in Town

As long as There’s charge in the system for the pressure switch to see, it will still allow the compressor to engage. Definitely your description sounds like a undercharged issue. What you could do is have the system evacuated and recharged with dye. Once it starts blowing warm again, you can...
