When you say complete engine failure what does that mean? Rod hanging out the side of the motor, and oil everywhere? Or not running smooth and in limp mode?
I just replaced the two fronts with NTK at 135000, just wondering if I should replace the rears, or just wait till they fail. As far as I know they just tell you if your cats are doing their job.
I think that's normal, did one wheel spin one way, and the other wheel spin the opposite? I'm not sure your applying enough torque for it to couple the front wheels.
Awesome! Thank you! I assume I would just snug all the vertical bolts down so the pan is still loose, then tighten the bellhousing bolt to 37 ft. lbs. (that sounds like a lot) then go back and torque the rest?
Does anyone have all these torque specs.?

I'm not sure if the oil pan has the relief valve or not until I get it off. I don't really know how that system works so I assumed the pump didn't have a relief valve and it was on the pan. Why would it need two? But again, I really don't know how the system works.
I'm getting ready to do my oil pan gasket, then replace my oil pick up tube O-ring while I'm there. I'm thinking my car does not get the pressure relief valve deflector, because I do not have DoD. Should I go ahead and put it in there anyway? I am also replacing the oil cooler block off plate...
Sounds like a bad damper to me, maybe not the airbag part but the damper. Arnott takes used dampers and runs them on a dyno, it's a pass or fail thing, they don't rebuild the damper part. Or at least that was the case when I replaced mine, I went with new BWI.
It's been a while since I've looked in the transmission cap, but I do recall oil inside there, but not sure if it looked like it was coming straight down the center. Before I have anyone do anything, I'm going to replace the oil cooler block off gasket, and maybe the crank position sensor. The...
So it looks like I have oil inside my transmission inspection cap, meaning I have a rear main leaking. I called around to see how much to replace, and one garage said that when they looked it up, there is service bulletins saying to clean the PCV system and change to a vented oil cap.

Are all the tires the same size and pressures the same? For AWD vehicles you are suppose to change all the tires at the same time, so if only two have been changed it may cause a problem.
The one that got me, was I couldn't figure out why my lift gate wasn't opening. Come to find out, the overhead switch is a rocker switch, that you can turn off the lift gate.
