Torque converter was the first thing that came to mind once I started feeling this shudder. Had one replaced on our 2011 suburban around 60K miles and it was basically the opposite feeling, it would shudder when getting back on the gas. It took several trips to the dealer and I had to drive the...
Those continental tires are by far the worst tires I've ever had the misfortune of owning (came on the yukon when new) and I couldn't get them off of there fast enough. Yes they were smooth and quiet but the traction was absolutely atrocious in wet conditions. I'd call them downright dangerous...
The last day or two our '21 yukon (5.3 4wd) seems to have developed a very slight but very noticeable stumble when letting off the gas pedal. I'd describe it as almost the exact same sensation as driving over imperfections in the road surface. It's more noticeable driving around town 25-35 mph...
That roof setup looks pretty cool but my word that abomination hanging off the front bumper hurts my eyes. I get that it’s a function over appearance item but that sure is a great way to make an otherwise beautiful Yukon look ugly
I think the rear camera looks good until it gets the slightest bit of water, dirt or dust on it then it just becomes a blur. For me that's about 90% of the time here in the rainy PNW. I mostly just stick with what's worked my whole life so far and that's using the good ole side mirrors. The rear...
Good to know I've picked well. Used to run duratracs but I swear after about 15K miles they're so loud they sound like they're worn out and then you have to endure that loudness for another 20K miles until they actually wear out. Duratracs do have excellent traction though
I saw someone had posted on facebook about some aftermarket ones that were coming out but I forget who makes them. They looked like shit anyways like most aftermarket lights. Hard to beat what comes on them from the factory both in looks and build quality
If I was you I would run away from these mechanics or places that employ them and never go back...These new rigs ride amazingly smooth there is no shaking or wobbling about them. When I picked ours up with 3 miles on the odometer I was shocked at how smooth the ride was. I had never even touched...
Technology already exists so kind of surprising you don't get said technology on newer high end vehicles. I'm sure the lenses need to be made out of glass so probably would drastically increase the cost of mass producing them for millions of vehicles compared to cheap plastic lenses...
Looks good. Those ridge grapplers are a great tire. We've put about 15K miles on a set on our '21 yukon and they've been great. Still nice and quiet with a smooth ride
Mine did have the fuel pump control module replaced but that was the only code that popped up. It started stumbling like it was out of gas as I was accelerating when the road changed from 35 to 50 so I pulled over and it died. Tried the start button and it cranked but no start. Sat there for...
This seems rather suspect. I think just about every suv or hatchback that’s been produced in the last 30 or 40 years has come with a rear wiper as standard equipment
I got 4wd and aggressive tread pattern tires. Was averaging closer to 19 mpg for the first 6k miles when it had those pathetic continental tires that came on it new. The ridge grapplers definitely dropped the mpgs a bit but drastically improved the the wet traction (and appearance) of the vehicle
Our SLT has nearly all those things listed above that is claimed the yukon "doesn't have" but I suppose it's because we have the premium package. Also consistantly averaging 17.5 mpg over 22K miles with a 5.3
When I did the OTA update about a month ago it changed nothing I could notice. When the yukon was at the dealer 2 weeks ago for a warranty repair they did the DRL update on it and that did change how they function. As others have stated they now stay bright when the fogs are on and headlights off
Having owned a 2011 suburban for 8 years and now our '21 yukon for 1.5 years I can say for sure these vehicles do not drive the same in AUTO as they do in 2WD. There is a noticeable difference in feel and noise level when these are in AUTO, its like more rolling resistance and some added...
Oh no that sucks! If it makes you feel any better (probably not) I'm looking at a $3300 quote to repair just paint damage on our '21 all caused by someone else. Paint rubbed all the way off on driver side rear bumper from careless driver hitting it while parked and then a couple weeks later deep...
Got her back yesterday and seems to be back to normal. Had fault code P129F so they replaced the fuel pump power control module under warranty. They also did the bcm update for DRL and looked at 3rd row seatbelt recall while it was there so should be all up to date
Why would anyone want to disable the drl on these new vehicles? They look awesome and most people want them to stay brighter not turn off altogether. Sure there’s certain time you might want them off but a simple twist of the headlight switch gets that done
Talked to the service department earlier today and they said the vehicle had a code for the fuel pump control module. Part is on order and they expect to see it tomorrow or the next day. When it died it was acting like it was running out of gas so this diagnosis makes sense
Its strange there isn’t a black offering from Chevy like there is with the gmc grill. My wrap guy basically said no to wrapping the grill on our slt so I bought the factory black one from gm and it’s great
