Same here. I've noticed if you have a decent charge on your phone to start with the wireless charger doesn't have much issue maintaining that charge. If you are low on battery though you're much better off plugging it into one of the charge ports. I get about the same results at home though. My...
I think when they say the drl will not turn OFF they really mean they will not DIM. I cannot think of one modern vehicle I've seen in real life that doesn't have an outer ring or a halo or a C or a whatever shape the drl shape may be that is not illuminated when the headlights are on. Certainly...
^ this. People keep saying they want the get that "fixed" but pretty sure there's nothing to fix and they are designed to dim when the fogs or headlights come on
Our only must haves were a heated steering wheel, 2nd row bench seat, pano roof and satin steel metallic paint. Nothing else really mattered. Was shopping for a suburban but then the yukon we ended up buying showed up with all those things so we jumped on it. This was before they were cutting...
We bought one only because of how much electronics these new rigs have on them and how much the truck relies on these electronics to control everything. That's stuff you can't fix yourself. We also plan to keep this yukon about 10 years but we shall see. 1.5 years and 21K miles so far no major...
UCAs are known for failure in the gm trucks that go higher than 2” but as stated the op has aftermarket ones installed. Seems there’s not many reports of failed ucas on these new suvs maybe because lifts over 2” weren’t very common until more recently
I was thinking the same thing but don’t they only go up 2” in off-road setting? Might not make much difference if he’s up to 3.5” of lift. Seems like anything over 2 or maybe 2.5” really should have a legit lift kit that drops the front dif to keep everything in check
Those were the good old days when common man could work on his own rig and the use of a flashlight actually helped. Now days you're better off having a laptop in hand than a flashlight when troubleshooting a car problem...
It's funny but in the year and a half we've had our yukon I've never...
I always kinda thought a heated steering wheel was a dumb option but the wife insisted the new rig have one and I've got to admit it's pretty freaking amazing. Been using it nonstop lately here in the PNW and it's nice and toasty when I get in after a remote start
These vehicles I’m afraid are too new/high tech to diagnose or repair on your own when dealing with electrical gremlins. Probably cost you an hour labor at the dealer service department to get a definitive diagnosis of what’s wrong. Maybe it’s something completely unrelated to the coolant leak...
After seeing this thread I got all excited and did the update and sadly nothing changed. I too hate the dimming feature when fogs or headlights come on. Anybody other than the op see a change in drl behavior?
I think these are just the standard wheels the SLT comes with. We bought this rig sight unseen (back when there was zero inventory on dealership lots) while it was in transport to a dealership near seattle and these are the wheels it showed up with. Both my wife and I disliked all the chrome on...
Those are 20s with stock size tires. I wanted nothing to do with rubbing or trimming of any kind. There is a set of GM 22s I kinda like but not really interested in diminishing the ride quality that the 20s with tall sidewalls offer
After posting in this thread yesterday I found myself on an hour drive last night and put the yukon in sport mode for the first time just to see what it was all about. It certainly accelerates quite a bit quicker that's for sure. I usually accelerate as slowly as humanly possible so not really a...
You can buy factory GM wheels for under $2k right now on the gm accessories website. Year end sale is on with 25% discount. Or look on CL or marketplace there's tons of wheels for sale on there, lots under $1k even
I've been trying to sell a SLT grill for 6 months with zero interest from anyone, you might be the first person I've seen that says they like them. I prefer the offroad look of the at4 so tried to beef up the look of our slt with a level kit, aggressive tires, black grill swap and chrome delete...
I still don't see the point of sport mode on a 6K pound brick grocery getter. Ain't nothing sporty about them IMO but I'm also not a very aggressive driver
Does the SLT come with air or mrc? Ours has neither and I 100% prefer it that way. It rides super smooth even with a level kit installed and I don't have to worry about a stupid sensor failing or cold temperatures affecting my suspension. I've rode in a gm vehicle with failed mrc shocks and it...
I can see a small electric car being practical for some people but these big electric trucks are an absolute joke. Nothing but a novelty toy at this point
Our 2011 suburban would do this constantly and was super frustrating. Would take forever to get a full tank. Thankfully I have not experienced this issue once on the '21. Had it a year and a half now and put just over 20k miles on it.
Our roof rails were painted in place after masking off the vehicle. Wrap guy was concerned that vinyl wouldn't hold up well due to the crease that runs along the length of the rails
