I had one very similar on my nbs Tahoe (rolled edge instead of the double wall) and really liked the look. Debated on doing the same thing for this one but my brother just had the same tip I ordered installed on his truck and it looks perfect with the dual 4”
Yeah. I talked to my muffler guy and he said it shouldn’t be a issue. I have to have a whole new tailpipe section (muffler back) made since previous owner just dumped it
I have literally done nothing to the truck minus keep it clean and drive it. It’s been enjoyable not living the low life. I did just order a exhaust tip for it. Dual 4” will have it exit behind the tire and have it tucked up closer to the body

Had the same thing happen to my last truck about a week after I bought it. Just did a full oil change on it and never had the problem again. Think it was just a bad filter from the dealer or PO
Pretty far from sounding like a ricer I would say lol. Sounds good tho. If I ever get around to it this is muffler that replacing the flowmaster my truck came with
With that being said I wash once or twice and week. Wax around once a month but constantly detail it since it sits outside. Also clean the interior once a week lol
Like I stated before I ran that exact muffler on my 2008 Tahoe 5.3L and my dad is running it on his 2016 Silverado 5.3L and both sounded/sound amazing.

Any good exhaust shop “should” be able to run a single out to both sides. Key word should. As far as why gm did the exhaust that way or if there is a benefit between the two. I have no idea. But just because it’s a dual out doesn’t mean It has to exit on both sides.
