2013 Tahoe Front and Rear Hellwig sway bars

Thanks Joseph, that is so true. We were thankful that he did not suffer a long and painful time. He was still at 95 good physically but he had Dementia for several years and was handling it pretty good. The COVID even though he beat it, pneumonia was more than he could handle. I owe him so much...

    Weird electrical problems

I did see your original post , but I guess you checked all the grounding straps/cables. I know sometimes that can be a difficult thing to track down. Good luck , I hope more people chime in.

    Painted Tow Hooks 2013 Tahoe.

Good point, I thought about that and that is where Powder Coating would be better or chrome if you were into 'bling' (not me). But hopefully I never have to put a tow strap on my baby, ha ! I will cross that bridge whenever .

2013 Tahoe Front and Rear Hellwig sway bars

An update and the final chapter to my dads story. I am sad to announce that my dad passed this Sept 24 at the age of 95. COVID has touched the lives of too many people.

    Painted Tow Hooks 2013 Tahoe.

Weekend project: Paint the Tow Hooks ! 2013 Tahoe, when new my Tahoe did not have tow hooks. I purchased some ‘take offs’ on the internet and installed them. I don’t know why I did not think about painting them then, but whatever. Fast forward, I decided that its time to paint them. I also took...

    Motor Mounts - 2008 Chevy Tahoe Z71 4x4

Yeah, that was my fear, if left too long it would cause the right side mount to go bad. And if both were bad all H$!! could break loose , ha

    Rear blower motor gremlins

My rear blower motor was not working at all , the control switch appeared to be working but no air was coming out of the rear vents. I did a couple of half baked YouTube videos of the process on my 2013 Tahoe. It might help.

Watch out for RED LIGHT runners

Good idea, the lights at that intersection have like a cross hair filter that you can only see the light from one head on direction. If you are off to the side even the slightest , you cannot see if which light is on. It is dangerous .

Watch out for RED LIGHT runners

My daughter did not have a dash cam but our son in law was able to get video from a auto shop that was at the intersection, gave it to the insurance co and the other driver then admitted fault. I thought Houston drivers were crazy from still having to deal with Hurricane Harvey and the COVID...

Exterior Door handles are all having the paint wear off.

Ok, thanks. Doesn't you part of Az have a missile silo that you can take a tour of? We were going to do that on our last road trip to Long Beach, but decided to do it another time. Looked like an interesting tour, being that I am from that generation, ha

Exterior Door handles are all having the paint wear off.

Yeah, that is what I was afraid of. Plus I think there is two black color codes delivered in 2013. I would just about rather get OEM from RockAuto or 1A-Auto , pay a little more but get quality. Replacement them is not hard just time consuming. But it would give me a reason to work on my Puddle...

Exterior Door handles are all having the paint wear off.

I guess I need to take each of them off ,before I try that and it's a daily driver, so I might have a problem because all handles need to be painted. Might as well get new ones and paint to match, or I might try touch up paint because all of the wear is on the interior of each one. But thanks

Exterior Door handles are all having the paint wear off.

I don't particularly want to go to Chrome handles , and I don't want to buy OEM ready to paint either. My handles are black and the inside of all the handles are showing white ( the plastic that they are made of) I could try to touch up the parts that you can see with OEM black and put the...

$10.00 a gallon ? WTF? Are you in Nancy Pelosi land or something? Crap I though paying $3.37 here was a lot. and its hard not to romp when your tune is RIGHT ! Oooooh for the good ol' days(1965), my dad was paying $0.56 a gal for 100/130 octane Avgas for his company plane and I was getting some...

Hellwig vs Hotchkis sway bars and how hard to install

I hear that, being retired I have some lazy/time, ha. However being 70, its the strength factor to lift that heavy ass bar up hold it and attach the bolts, ha. But 70 is only a number and has not stopped me, I just did rotors, pads and rebuilt the calipers. And believe me YouTube and this forum...

Hellwig vs Hotchkis sway bars and how hard to install

No problem, there are some excellent sources of information on this forum. I used Garcia's suggestion about using some help. I didn't have a buddy but the floor jack was a life saver. Those bars are heavy and hard to hold in place while bolting them up to the frame.
