I'm not sure if this has been discussed here much but I'm curious how common this issue is on the K2 Tahoe/Yukon/Suburban trucks (seen a lot of Silverados with the issue on YouTube). I recently had been experiencing slower "ruhr-ruhr-ruhr" type start-ups, then some days my radio would randomly...
My 2016 Suburban LT has been through a couple versions. First was as delivered LT with 20" wheels. I then added a slight leveling kit front and rear and Z71-spec wheels and running boards with upsized tires.
I'd like to take the leveling kit out and run some PPV steelies on 265/60/17 Goodyear...
I know...I hate to post a question about an EVAP code but I have to ask. I did search but didn't find much. My 2016 Suburban tripped a P0442 the other day. I know fuel caps are usually the culprit for the P0442 but this is a capless system. Does anyone have any other suggestions that may be a...
I've never seen an instance where all of these same failures occur at once, but I'm guessing it's something electrical inside your column? Almost every item on that list is wired through the steering column.
Every Chevrolet truck I've ever owned, and I've owned more than a few, has leaned to the driver's side.
My 2016 Suburban is no exception, even after I added the small lift.
Although yours seems to be listing to the right though...
Yup I can vouch for that. Six months out of the year here it's below freezing and my JLT fills up quickly with an oil/water mixture.
During the other six months I can go over a month sometimes without emptying it and when I do it's straight oil.
The 275/60/20's are 1.4" taller than your existing 265/65/18's.
275/55/20 (the other factory option for these trucks) is only 0.3" taller.
So you're looking at adding an inch or so, but you still should be OK.
That being said, I went from 275/55/20 on my truck to running a 275/60/20 and I...
Thanks @nick14226 that's very helpful, I will try mine!
My noise wasn't really a whistle like you describe it, more of a low pitch "howl". But it's a starting point!
I saw this CRC stuff while researching the original stuff I posted. Looks like the CRC would be way more effective and I'm going to try it. Probably won't hurt.
Well I tore the Borla out and put a Walker stock replacement in, back to OEM normal and I'm happy. Just not ready to make this a loud truck yet, I enjoy the quiet ride.
In related news I have a Borla 40359 for sale. $75 shipped.
Has anyone tried this stuff?

First time I've seen a product like this aimed directly at us GDI owners. I'm kind of curious how it works without being aspirated into the intake somehow. If you just put it in the tank how the hell does it reach...
This site explains it pretty well. They look just like regular shocks and are completely self-contained. Neat tech...until you have to replace 'em.

Huh, ok. Just curious. Good to know - that experience might save someone some serious coin. I've always been told Nivomats must be replaced with Nivomats. I didn't believe it either and wasted time and money finding out the hard way. I guess the Durango must be different.
Does your Burb have the ZW7 suspension? If so you had the Nivomat self-leveling rear shocks. I had those on a Durango once and when I swapped them out for regular "off the shelf" shocks I lost about an inch of ride height in the rear.
On GM trucks with the Nivomats (ZW7 suspension) they...
Ha, you sir are not wrong. But this one just started and it's quite loud. Didn't know if there was something specific to this K2 body that is typical that I should check on, other than the B-pillar trim which I've already checked.
I've driven some 2015 Tahoes at work, and I've been around this forum for about five years and I've learned that you should be very wary of the 2015 models. Lost of first year glitches, from annoying little things to major mechanical issues.
That being said I personally own a 2016 Suburban and...
Has anyone experienced and/or identified the source of a pretty significant wind noise at 60+ MPH? It's coming from my driver's door somewhere, it sounds like it's right in my left ear while I'm driving.
The truck didn't do this when I first bought it, I'm wondering what could have changed or...
