Liftgate not working, well here is a fix

Mine is still kicking at 107k and rough winters... just turned it back on for the season and no issues. Keeping my fingers crossed it holds up.

Your Vehicles as they sit now....

Since we aren't leaving the house much and most of the snow pack is gone they're both clean for the first time since September.

Your Vehicles as they sit now....

Yep, still cold... Burb has almost 106k miles on it and the truck is still stock with 28k miles.

Your Vehicles as they sit now....

Took off the studs today, I was curious if the 275/60 BFG All Terrains from my truck last summer would fit on the Suburban so I threw them on... drove around the block with no rubbing. Stock suspension with 88k miles, if my wife doesn't mind the added weight I'll probably do Bilsteins about...

Welcome, you're making me miss my old 04 2500 burb... I love that green!!

Your Vehicles as they sit now....

54 above today... the winter has been insane here, I didn't wash my truck until the last week of April last year and it was 38 when I did. There's no snow at my house so I might as well clean up the burb... Before: After... 87k hard Alaskan miles and still shines up pretty good.

    Agreed-Value Insurance (like Grundy's)

JC Taylor worked well for me, my father and I have had several old toys registered with them... I'm classically challenged at the moment lol (sold everything to move back up here). No mileage limit, must be garaged, and couldn't be the primary vehicle. I got around that with company cars and...

Your Vehicles as they sit now....

Doing everything I can to not mod it until the warranty is up... promised the wife I would. :emotions34: I've snuck in tint and DL3s... I've been pretty impressed with myself honestly, usually I get way out of hand quick with vehicles :jester: I am about to level and tune her burb to compliment...

    --- Photos: SPOTTER'S THREAD (post up all years/models) ---

Spotted the soon to be released Jeep Gladiator doing some cold weather testing. Dude in the Cherokee was giving me the death stare taking pics lol. I'm not a Jeep guy at all but they look damn good!!!

    PPV wheels

I see that now, at a quick glance on my phone it sent me to the expired listing and I just saw the recommended set of steel wheels below. OP, yes the original line blacked out wheels will bolt right up just fine. I feel like $355 for the set is a good deal too!

    PPV wheels

They'll fit fine, they're not PPV spec though, those have black faces and special smaller center caps that screw on. Those will still look good on a NBS though.

    Will 275 60 20 fit?

I run 275/60R20 on my stock suspension Silverado and there's no rubbing. It looks like it would be tight but with some carpet liner trimming my summer set up should fit on my wife's burb. Any additional offset would definitely not work so stick with stock size wheels.

    Might be buying this

Looks like a good foundation for sure, a little cleaning/TLC would go a long way. Good luck getting it.

This "One Price" / "No Negotiation" is Getting Tiring

It all depends on what you're buying. When I bought my Subaru I was in shock about the lack of negotiation... being a craigslist and GM guy most of my life I expect to show up with a wad of cash and save a good chunk of money. The Suby people basically just said here is what we'll sell it to you...

What MPG gain can be expected from a tune?

ROIs with mods are for significant others, not MPGs.... Get the tune, enjoy the better shifting, reduced torque management, and other notable benefits. If you can keep it at 65 or under you'll see better mileage than a tune will ever provide. I've tuned countless GM trucks and SUVs and never...

Your Vehicles as they sit now....

It's been pretty warm here, it's all burned off already... was in the 40s by lunch. Weird fall weather but I'll take it, saving me heating fuel  No snow in the 10 day still

BLIZZAK DM-V2 or DEFENDER LTX M/S

To me the Blizzaks are overkill, if you really like having a winter set and don't mind swapping them out they'll do great but I would question if you really need them. They will be noticeably better in snow and ice than the Michelins but you really will only get 20k miles out of them or so. I...

BLIZZAK DM-V2 or DEFENDER LTX M/S

Where do you live? How much snow/ice are you dealing with? Are they winter only or year round use? I've run Blizzaks on my old Subaru and they did great in the snow and ice up here in Alaska... Michelin LTX are an M/S rated tire with sipes so they'll do well in moderate conditions. Blizzaks...

    Blower motor? 2016 Suburban

Been here off and on since 2010... it's a great place!

    Blower motor? 2016 Suburban

It was really easy actually... Just 4 7mm screws on the cover and then the 3 torx screws that hold in the assembly. Once I had it narrowed down the blower motor swap is a 20-30 minute job including a beer break. Ignore all the extra screws and removed trim, I uncovered more than needed to...
