low/no oil from Jiffy Lube and what next?
It seems as if maybe they completely changed the oil to cover their tracks. It would register low before being empty. And it would seem that the engine would contain a certain amount of oil even when it alarms for low oil/low oil pressure. I would be all over the corporate number for JL. Sorry...- Matt Wilson II

That sounds way deeper than a lifter. Maybe you could contact GM directly and have them encourage your dealer to do something? Pressure from above? I'm assuming you have your maintenance records to prove the truck hasn't been abused?- Matt Wilson II

Driving in L9 and DFM
I just took a 250 mile, round-trip today and used L9. I sh*t you not, my economy improved. I can't understand how eliminating a fuel-saving measure would save fuel, but it did. I will most likely try ACDelco oil for my next change and see if that makes a difference. If it does, I may have questions for the engineering staff at Amsoil. Oil consumption between changes
Is anyone else seeing high oil consumption between changes? I seem to be burning (no leaks) around 1 qt. every 4k-ish miles. Noticed a qt. down at 1st change and I have been watching it since. I'm using Amsoil 0w20 and my miles are 90% highway.- Matt Wilson II
