I'm happy to have the comfy seats... So is my ass.
I'm also happy to announce that I have picked up the solution to my altitude issues...
3/5-6 just ordered from Tony.
Such excite.
Most badassery.
Appreciate it guys... I'm enjoying the new look and really excited to see these things on the Tahoe.
Unfortunately, I have to wait a little for the drop since I am a couple hundred short at the moment for the 3/5. This is going to drive me insane. Hopefully I can sell some of the parts I had...
Never been a fan of matched wheels personally. Usually use the wheels as an accent color on my vehicles, hence the silver.
Everything is purchased to mount these up and should be on by the end of next week.
Righto... a little forced progression to update this with.
Trying to sell my current wheels/tires on the Tahoe and need to pick up a set of tires to replace them...
So, these were just ordered..
And this is also happening as we speak. Hated the finish so decided it was a good time to tape...
I have recently finished mine up and I ended up using the TSX projectors from theretrofitsource.com along with some shrouds that I picked up off ebay.
I used the $75 pair of headlights/bumper lights from ebay/Amazon and cut the back off the low beam housing so that I could fit/bolt the...
With these cheapo lights, it didn't take much effort to get them apart.
I ran a heat gun around the edge until it was damn near too hot to touch. I made sure I didn't sit the heat gun on one spot otherwise the housing would start to bubble. As I progressively heat up the edge, I would pause...
I was able to finish up the front end this weekend and snap a couple pictures.
Since the headlights were finished, my OCD was kicking in with the wrecked bowtie, so I took care of that with some vinyl wrap.
And the front end. Looks even better when the light is actually on it.
Shooooot, I'll be taking some styling ques from you.
Now I just need this cold weather to pass so that I can actually work on the 'Hoe. So much to do and so little patience.
Oh, and forgot about this... It's a little bit of an accent that was on there from my buddy that I decided to make functional... Does nothing really, just makes the projector light up green when the light isn't on.
Aaannnndd... one of the headlights is done and installed. Waiting on some new bulbs to come in (these are old and acting a little funky). And I will get some day time shots within the next couple days.
Besides, they have a blueish tint, and I don't want that. Picked up some Morimoto D2Ss in...
Appreciate it. The wheels will be painted before going on the vehicle. Hate the finish on them after seeing it in person.
As for the black one, it ran just fine. I did a lot of trial and error with the performance mods (without going to forced induction) and tuning to get out to roll down the...
Here you go... here's a link to the kit: http://www.355nation.net/forum/supermodulation-chevrolet-colorado-gmc-canyon-leds/52269-supermodulation-led-drl-sequential-dssld4-wssld4-assld4-sssld5-kits-prices.html
Also, here's the back of the housings that I trimmed. I cut the openings a little...
The sequentials came from the old Colorado. After doing some reading on here and seeing that the plugs on these vehicles basically suck, I figured that I would just wire in the Colorado's plugs so the wiring was simple; brown to brown, blue to blue, black to black.
I then had to fit the new...
And currently, I scored a great deal on some wheels I was looking at. I had been debating on running a set of 24" GM replica "Snowflakes" but decided on these wheels since I really haven't seen anyone running them, plus the deal was too good to pass up.
The plan is to wrap them in 305/35...
You will notice with this build, if you watch it, that I am sporadic with my modifications and usually have a couple irons in the fire at the same time. I never really focus on one aspect and flip flop from performance to suspension to aesthetics to whatever, sometimes covering several areas at...
New to the forum so no one really knows who I am here. So, I am going to go on a couple tangents to give a little history to this thread and perhaps help people understand the mindset behind my modifications...
It all started in 1984... Just kidding.
I'll jump a couple years ahead. In April...
Thanks for the bane @SLCHOE
Stopped by a pick and pull today and looked at their inventory. Found a 3.73 diff still in a suburban that looked like what I need. Looked that over to get an idea how it's all bolted up.
As for the rear differential, I'm leaning towards what the rpo and vin says...
First off, any and all help would be appreciated.
I am working on replacing the missing components for the front drive train and want to make sure that I have everything for when it comes time for it to be installed, so I need some help. I have been looking over parts diagrams and everything to...
