Awful ride with 20's, great ride with 17's

based on the miles on the suspension and what you are describing, I'd look into replacing the shocks as well as take a hard look at the pitman/idler arms. Check on the sway bar boots/end links while you're down there. The extra weight of the 20s leads me to these ideas. The suspension is...

    Blurred's 04 Tahoe Z71 build - Mr. Greenly Greenerson

It wouldn't be bad at all. I know a lot of people in Nashville area since I was there for about 14 years before coming out here to Washington for the last 3 years. And honestly, I plan to pull some big triggers on the Tahoe when I get back there and get set up. Well, might not be big on some...

    Custom Denali bumper?

They have stainless steel mesh for plastic welding. Same page/company as above. That is great for strengthening the breaks.

    Custom Denali bumper?

Look up plastic welding. It will net you longer lasting results. Also this is the filler I've used. Very similar to the 3m stuff but much much cheaper. https://www.polyvance.com/Flex-Filler-1/2000-C/ And @HiHoeSilver is right, no metal bumper under there, more of a fiberglass frame.

    Mr. Greenly, the Trans-Model Tahoe

That's what happens when the available market isn't something I'd ever run. lol an attempt at being different amongst models that have been on the market for over a decade and a half

    Mr. Greenly, the Trans-Model Tahoe

@SRQYukon These were built from a set of vinyl rain gutters I found at Lowes or Home Depot. I heat them up and shaped them into an L, then cut and plastic welded them to the Z71 skirts. Bedliner and paint, along with a little filler was the final touch.

Appreciations. I learned early that the small details are what really bring something together. I've still got to do some work on the grille to make it seamless to my eyes. Basically make it so all the parts look like they belong together. Thanks. Now if only mine had the go that a fullsize ss...

Yep. The quiet is nice as well as the time allotted to finish projects, but it lacks the normality of chaos, which is odd to hear, even when you're saying it.

So after driving this around, here's my planned changes for the future (some distant, some not-so-distant) 1. new wheels. Going to run either a 23 or a 24x11 with a -24 offset (roughly). These will more than likely be a set of forged 3-piece wheels due to strength, weight, and to get the right...

Only difference between the Yukon fenders and the Tahoe fenders is the line around the headlights. Simply put, they are cut/shaped for the taller headlight. Beyond that, everything is the same.

thought I put that in there. 2.5" on all 4 corners and the wheels are 24x10s (+30mm) on 305/35s. Looking to try and run something along a 24x11 with a -24ish offset on either 305 or 295/35s.. depending on the height/profile I need for this. That will take some sciences and visualizations to...
