Rebuilding 6.2 Any good mods while I do it?

All things equal, yes. A crappy engine builder or tuner is not going to produce a very reliable engine, the same if you have a high dollar engine thats stressed and lives its life at 8K. A moderate compression well built 416 is more then adequate for reliability in a daily driver. Going past a...

Rebuilding 6.2 Any good mods while I do it?

Its been done several times. Its just the wrong forum for it. google 416 stroker and that will tell you everything you need to know about them. IMO, a 416 is the best ls configuration. Good NA power if thats your thing, works with aftermarket cathedral heads for a torque monster, or handles...

    Horrible sway

I'd look towards your rear trailing arm or sway bar bushings then. Upgrading to bigger sways, while its a good idea, is just a bandaid in your scenario. It might make it better, but it doesn't fix that fact that something needs to be replaced. If everything checks out to be okay, it could it...

    Horrible sway

+1 on shocks. Also, have inspected the sway bar end links? Highly unlikely your rear control bushings are worn, at least I never hear about it, but stranger things have happened.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Noticed the boot on my new rare parts tie rod was kinda cheesy. The diameter of the base and the shaft were too big, so crap could easily get into the joint. I ordered some energy suspension poly boot covers and its a much tighter fit. Did it on my Camaro and noticed the wheel had more snap...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Kinda nbs related... My dads obs Yukon got a huge nail in the tire and it wasn't fixable, so I gave him my old Denali 17's. Looks much better on his rig than mine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Got these in today. Been wanting them for a very long time and I've finally committed to buying all the parts to rebuild my steering rack slowly. These tie rods are ridiculous, talk about heavy duty. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I have polo green. If you have different colors, I'd buy a couple black ones or dark green if you can get them.

    04 Tahoe heavily used

That's all a personal preference of what you want out of the engine. Do you want really low end grunt, something that starts picking up in the mid range or something that you can drop in and be good without a tune or anything else. Comp, Texas speed, Brian tooley racing, and cam motion are...

    Led or hid

Hid's with a real retrofit. Depo's are an improvement over halogens, but a real hid projector outshines all. I used morimoto mini h1 7.0 projectors, 35w XB35 ballast and bulbs (the entry level/noob setup). It needs some bulb shimming to get rid of the curve, but its far better than my buddies...

    04 Tahoe heavily used

An ls7 intake won't fit. Ls7 heads are square port and lm7 are cathedral. A tbss/nnbs intake would add some power but you're really not going to see much until you get a better cam and a tune Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

07+ Brake upgrade on a 00-06 NBS, is it worth it?

@Red Rocket & @TheAutumnWind are correct. I did the GMT-900 (NNBS) upgrade when I was on stock Denali 17's. There's no way you could fit a 14" rotor. I didn't take any measurements but I'm betting there was maybe half an inch of clearance between caliper and wheel. The only thing I miss about...

*** TRINOVA Paint Sealant GIVE AWAY *** LIMITED Exclusive Offer for TYF Members.

I think the 15-30 minutes is crucial for it to cure. I noticed that I couldn't physically see any of the sealant right when I applied it (It was also getting dark too) until I waited a little and then it started to get hazy.

    6.0 what grade fuel

Oregon does. Most generic brand gas stations use 91 as premium and the top tiers use 92.

*** TRINOVA Paint Sealant GIVE AWAY *** LIMITED Exclusive Offer for TYF Members.

I tried the stuff last night and I think it's pretty good but I'm I can only compare it to the other waxes I've used. I used it on everything but the front windshield, which I'll do later. First thing I noticed is it made a mirror finish better than any other product I've used on my Denali and...

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

The limit in Oregon is 35% so most people get 30% that I know. The only time I really hear people getting tint tickets is when they are already getting another ticket like speeding or if they're an obnoxious import lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
