Really? I figured the paint material costs would have been more than $750.
I have a couple questions - is there a reason you didn't use some sort of primer? I've never painted anything, but I was under the impression paint wouldn't stick and you'd be able to see the body filler areas if you...
I always kind of dug Gila Bend. On the way over to Phoenix from San Diego, I always stopped there for a cup of shitty gas station coffee. One of these days I want to stay at that spaceman motel.
Man, I forgot all about this thread until today. I read pages 30-100 today. I must be bookmarked 10 different things for future reference on my Denali. I have to ask, are you still pretty happy with your drop kit?
I saw your foose wheels and did a search on craigslist. Looky what I found...
That's probably true, although I've never seen one with blacked out chrome, on the ground, and big ass wheels.
I wonder if you could do a front clip swap on the new Yukons from the new trucks? That new headlight and grille design on the GMC trucks looks great
If I can't find one by the time I'm ready to put in a 10 behind that panel, then I'll drill those little holes out or take out the grille completely. I think it would look better with the factory panel though
I would love to find one of the earlier rear plastics with the holes for the sub cut out. I'm always on the lookout for one of those local. I think they came in earlier NBS of all flavors, not just denali
Didn't even catch these on the last page. Now I'm all looking too. Looks like they're Anzo

Nah, just not all of us comment other than the occasional "Nice build!"
Nice build, btw... I followed your sig link over to your GS400 build and read that as well. I wish I had that kind of confidence in myself to do paint work
I love my 05 Denali. I love sex more.
Styling is subjective, but the only big GM SUVs I like that are newer than what I have are the NNBS Escalades. I don't plan to get rid of my Denali, but if it were totaled on the way home today and I had to buy something else, I'd look at a 07-14 Escalade...
I just happened to run across it on ebay one day. Can't really beat it for the price. I had to solder in some better wire from the connectors, but it's far exceeded my expectations.
My ported 8" sub tube. Got the tube as a $25 experiment instead of making a sonotube and it works surprisingly well. It fits behind the 3rd row pretty easily and leaves me quite a lot of room.
So, I got stuck in traffic yesterday and my Denali got just over 210 then back down again. I did not realize that was the efans activation point.
Thanks for the help. Turns out I just didn't know what was supposed to happen.
I checked, and the system is pressurized. I'm not sure what temp the fans turn on. The high temp turn on, I can maybe believe that's just the point they switch on. Its been happening for a while now. The low temp on the freeway is new.
Should I even be worried about this?
Coolant level appears fine. I can't say for 100% certainty that it's pressurizing. My understanding is that the only way you can really interact with the system is through the overflow tank. Is my understanding correct?
Hey everyone. I'm having a weird issue in my 2005 Yukon Denali. It's not quite critical yet, but it's noticeable to me.
After I'm completely warmed up, if I get stuck in traffic, my coolant temp creeps up above 210 a bit. Normally, the temp hangs out at 190-195. If traffic is prolonged, it...
