I did not see anything obvious from underneath. I will get under it again and try hitting and shaking a few things. It just seems odd that it did the exact same thing in my Tahoe before I sold it. Thought it might be a common thing
I am posting this in the Avalanche section, but I had the exact same issue in my 01 Tahoe.
So my current '11 Avalanche seems to have this weird tapping/knocking sound. It is very hard to describe. It seems like it is coming from the passenger side near the B or C pillar. The best way that I can...
Sorry, but what do you mean when you say "bedded"?
I have been considering the ACDelco "Police" rotors. Seems like anything ACDelco would be ideal, and surely the Police rotors are better than factory.
So about 2 weeks ago I went and had an alignment done on the Avalanche. Steering wheel was off a bit. Surely it was due to the accident.
I just dropped off the Avalanche again the have the tires balanced and have the front rotors turned. They seem to be pretty warped. I intend on replacing...
A little revision to this...Only ended up having to pay $5000 for the Avalanche. $1200 in parts/labor/paint. $950 in taxes.
So I came out about $800 cheaper than I had originally anticipated. After selling my Tahoe (that I bought 2 years ago for $4000) for $5400, I am in this Avalanche for less...
Is anyone familiar with the voice commands for the radio in these? It seems like the responses are long and unnecessary. For instance if I want to call my wife:
*holds button down for 2 seconds
''Ready?"
"Call the wife"
"Call the wife using David's Iphone?"
"Yes"
"Calling the wife using David's...
Yes! I am going to be getting one soon. I have been emailing back and forth with them. You also get free tunes for as long as you own the vehicle. Like if you get cold air intake, you may need to tweak your tune. It will be free as long as the truck is yours. Same goes for exhaust. Bigger tires...
Been driving the Avalanche around. It rides SOOOO much better than my Tahoe did. It is crazy. Everything works flawless, but I think I am going to throw on a new brake pedal switch to see if that fixes the cruise control. Would the brake lights still function normally if the switch was bad?
So the cruise control light on the steering wheel will still light up. I tried to set the cruise, but it will not set. I did not see the traction control error, but I only drove like 3 miles. Maybe a bad brake pedal sensor? All brake lights work as they should.
Sold my Tahoe last night and picked up the Avalanche this morning!
So happy to finally be in it! I am about to take it to the shop to have an alignment done, so I will see if the cruise works now. The light on the steering wheel is coming on. We shall see!
