I remember back in the sixties Chevy had a problem with the small block mounts, the recall put a small steel cable around the mount so that the engine wouldn't torque over.
So 45 - 50 years later they still don't know how to make a motor mount.

Ok I happen to have some spare steering wheel spokes. I want to make them silver as to match the rest of my SSV silver trim.
What do you think would hold up better, spray paint or some vinyl wrap?

Welcome, First off is your unit 2wd or 4wd. The 2wd (PPV) sits 2in lower than a civilian Tahoe. 4wd (SSV) is the same as civilian as far as I know.

I actually found a utube video of some guy installing something that needed a switched 12v. You would think that gm would provide a safe fused and switched 12 volt supply, it would on cast about 20cents per vehicle.
I hate white, and black is too hard to keep clean. But when you buy used , you don't get much of a choice.
Nothing beats a nice deep dark Metallic Burgundy (aka black Cherry) or blue or emerald green

I hope that tool box isn't at your work, We had a guy about ten years ago that had a big Snap-on box with a hutch, Inside he had a desktop PC and would sit there and burn DVD'S to sell at work, and he wondered why they let him go.

Having a DIC adds a lot to your vehicle. It opens up all the menus to toggle thru .
If you mark the panel carefully its pretty easy to add the switch, took me about an hour. be careful as to what kind of glue to use. I used an Gel Epoxy if it's to runny it will run into the switch and ruin it.
AP8 that's it. than you can purchase the remote start accessory kit PN# 19154444 and the DIC switch PN# 15947841. Now the remote start you will have to get it programmed through your local dealer.
