PFDSOTM, One suggestion when playing with Black. Try it with PlastiDip first, then you can always undo it easily if you don't like it, or do it in a more permanent fashion with a coating or paint. I just picked up my Denali yesterday, and will definitely be doing the grille with Black... -

Yep, I had the dealer paint it for me. On Saturday, I'm having the Suntek film added with Lamin-X tint on the upper portion of the headlights, both taillights, and the 3rd brake light. Just picked it up this afternoon! Already stopped at the local Tint World to make appt for Suntek front and sides as well as Lamin-X tails & 3rd brake light. I'll be doing Black PlastiDip on the window Chrome and rear liftgate chrome cap. The chrome on the grille is getting spray lined soon... -

Paint Protection Film - X-Pel vs SunTek
Guys on the Bimmerpost Forum have used both. They say the X-Pel is thicker and has 10 yr warranty vs Suntek's 5 yr warranty. However, the Suntek has a more Glossy finish and gets rid of the "orange peel" texture in your paint, which I consider good things. -
