I adjusted my rear ride height sensors which dropped the rear 3/4" which make the ride even better. Now from fender to ground I'm Front 34", Rear 35 1/4"
No removal required. Oil & filter have a clear path so it's a no mess oil change. I've changed the oil on my 2018 Yukon twice in 2023 so far. I've already driven 7K miles on my Yukon in 2023.
I had no complains with the middle position but the inner position has a better feel to it. It's still so impressive how well the Yukon handles now and I drive on curvey backroads often.
I have already put 5,000 miles on my lowered + Hellwig swaybar setup and still loving the transformation. No rubbing/noise from the swaybars so far.
Here are some pics after I adjusted the supplied endlinks to the rear Hellwig swaybar. I ended up removing the lock nut and making the rear...
How many miles has you put on your Pirelli? I thought the 1st 10k was great then they got noisy but that was several years ago so they might be better now.
Welcome to the forum. As a current owner of a 2000 Suburban 2500 I am a fan of the platform. There are many ground wires that can cause a light show on the dash. I had to clean all mine.
Now lets see some pic :)
Yes, 285/45/22. The stance I ended up with is exactly what I was shooting for and very happy with the look and more so with the handling & great road manners. I'm on a roadtrip right now & did 800 miles today with some icey/snowy conditions without any issues.
On my 2018 Yukon I cut the upper balljoint to clear the front axle. Used a dremel & tool less than 1 min. Didn't have to touch the lower but I have factory 22s
I have a 2018 with BellTech 2/3 drop + Hellwig swaybar. With 285/45/22 I rub a little up front on tight turns with and incline or decline. I would like to run 305s and still may. I ran 305s on my 2008 Avalanche with the BellTech 2/3 drop.
The drivability/handling with the drop + Hellwig...
Once on the ground I did adjust the rear swaybar endlinks to level the swaybar. The handling improvement is beyond amazing.
Here is the hardware for the Hellwig rear swaybar. As you can see there is alot of length adjustability.
I watched a Youtube video on installing these swaybars where...
I have put 1,000 miles on my BellTech 2/3 drop with Hellwig swaybars without any issues. The rear endlinks on the Hellwig swaybars are adjustable. When you assemble the endlinks pay attention to the diameter of metal sleeves.
My 1999 Suburban 1500 would warp its 11.5" front rotors every 20K miles. My 2018 Yukon Denali rolling on 22s has 76K on original brakes with no pulsating & pads look like new.
My 2014 SS Sedan still has factory rear brakes at 125K miles with 50%+ pad remaining. I replaced the Brembo pads...
Sold my 2008 Avalanche with 155K miles and never had any issues with the power running boards. I have 75K miles on my 2018 Yukon Denali and no issues so far with the power running boards. I keep my turned off unless I have short passengers. Love the clean look when closed.
The BellTech kit for the rear comes with shock relocation brackets, shorter bump stops, springs for a 4" drop and 1" spacers if you want a 3" drop. Also comes with shorter rods for your leveling sensors.
Here is the install with the shock relocation bracket.
My camping/recreational rig is a 2000 Suburban 2500 4x4 with 6.0L @ 177K miles that still runs as smooth as new and uses less than 1/2qt of oil between 5K mile oil changes.
My son bought a used 2015 Yukon Denali with 110K miles 1 owner with full service records and oil changes avg around 8K miles. While on the lift doing full inspection & shock replacement he had the dreaded lifter failure.
My 2018 Yukon Denali has 75K miles with oil changes every 5K miles but...
The Belltech 2" front spindle + 3 rear spring drop is a great setup. Add Hellwig swaybars and you will have a great handling machine. I did this to my 2008 Avalanche & my 2018 Yukon Denali. Both have factory retractable running boards which makes for a cleaner look.
For the last few years I've been using "The Last Coat V2" ceramic spray about every 6 months & a full paint correction every 18 months. The last coat is easy to apply & leaves no residue. The CQUARTZ UK 2.0 ceramic coating ( $92 as of today but I paid $55 for a 50ml bottle) I recently applied...
I'm running a BellTech 2" front spindle & 3" rear spring drop with a pair of Hellwig swaybars rolling on factory 22s. Plan on going 305s all around but the handling with the 285s is amazing.
Seeing I just ceramic coated my Yukon last week I have fresh times. Wash, claybar & full paint correction from top to bottom 7 hours. 2 coats of CQUARTZ UK 3.0 ceramic coating with 1 hour wait between coat then a wipedown with Reload spray took 3 hours. To cure the ceramic coating the Yukon...
