I did listen for noises just like you. First it was rear than i put more grease in DJM rear end links and Spohn torque rod and looks like that rear noise is gone. Now im tryin fix front noise. Could be transfer case. But it gets worse when its raining. So its gotta be suspension. I only have 47k...
I have issues with hard braking, there is clunk noise comming from front. I think its from moded moog end links. Thats why im looking for different front sway bar. Rear Eibach sway bar is ok
Here is link for clunk noise...
Well reason wby im asking this is becauze i have Eibach swaybars. I have 4dw denali with 2/4 drop, drop spindles up front and spring drop on rear. My eibach front swaybar doesnt sitts flet when car is on thhe ground or up in air. Thats with shorten Moog seay bar end lnks. With oem or non moded...
Im looking for pics of Hellwig and/or Hotchkis front sway bars installed. I need to see how they sitting on front end links
Also post what end links you are using and did you shorten them
Thanks
If anything i overtorque them with 1/2 dewalt that i use to remove my 18 wheeler lug nuts lol. I think this may comming from driveline, ttansfer case and rear end. Too many street hits i guess
Installed new Moog front end links with 6" grade 8 fully threaded bolts and greased rear DJM offset end links and Spohn panhard bar. Look like clunk noise is gine for now. I did found old some rubbing on 6" bolt i was using on front end links. It was rubbing against lower control arm, right...
I think this clunk its comming from front. Have to be those dam end links, with Eibach swaybar end links doeant sit straight up like OEM setup. I will order new 3/8 lond threaded grade 8 bilts from Mcmaster and see if that helps. Moog bolts are week, they bend easy
I just pulled driveshaft and grease spline and even outside little bit. Driveshaft came out transfercase nice and easy. Both U joint are nice and tight, no play so they good.
Looks like greasing helped little bit. Ill have to drive some more and see if noise goes away. Next thing is to instal...
These new Nittos 420V have much better traction on wet. On OEM Bridgestone Alenzas if i hammered at 35 mph i would spin tires whole 2nd gear and little bit in 3rd. Nittos spin for a second and hook. Im afraid if i launch at 2k on dry i will bust poor driveshaft or rear end lol
Im using DJM offset endlinks. Looks like front end started to make same noise. Up front i have new Moog endlinks. Its either those suckers or willwood brakes. I dont think its driveshaft or springs. Or maybe all 4 OEM shocks/struts at 47k ?!
There is some play in pininon. I do have DJM kit that fixes driveshaft angle but didnt installed yet
This isnt ratteling noise, its just like crack or clunk noise but only once on hard suspension compression and rebound
Here is whats going on. Last summer i installed Belltech 2/4 drop kit in my 16 Denali that have 40k miles. Still have OEM shocks and struts. After a few months i start having clunk on hard acceleration and on hard braking, looks like it will clunk once on acceleration and wont clunk again on...
I only drive on new setup like 5 miles, switched back to winter setup 20" honewcombs. Im looking forward this summer to test 420Vs. But thode 5 miles i drove they have a lot more traction than OEM bridgestones
For some reason i dodnt get milky stuff. Blowby i get in my catch can is just oil. If i dont spin motor on higher rpms i dont get much blowby. I have 45k on my 6.2
Sold OEM chrome 22" snowflakes and got black one with new Nitto 420Vs tires
Here is some pics, didnt put any tire shine, it was cold and these wheels and tires will be saved for summer, until than i got some black 20" honeycomb wheels to clear wilwoods brakes
