Finally ordered the GM factory skid plate kit. Got it from ThePartsTruck.com for $187. It shipped without the 12x bolts required, but they shipped them to me immediately at no cost.
Skid Plate Kit is GM # 23176881
Extra bolts are GM #1158341 (if you need them).
Very easy install, factory...
Hi all, wanted to see if anyone else here had a similar experience. My 2015 Tahoe (40k miles) makes a strange series of noises when reversing (this mostly happens on first startup when cold, and usually isn't audible once I've been driving it). It almost sounds like a bad/loose u-joint, but its...
I didn't- after about a month of driving it the front settled in a little bit and after measuring, the rear is only about 1/4" lower now maybe less. You can't even tell with the naked eye- looks perfectly level. Just went through the front end and to make sure everything was tight last week and...
Also, you'll need to get an alignment after install, my camber was way off (assuming you decided to lift the front). They compliment the factory rear air shocks well, I replaced mine with new factory versions and they seem to ride decent.
One of my biggest and only complaints with this truck when I got it was the ride quality. Keep in mind I sold a 2015 Silverado with the same exact Fox suspension setup before buying it, so I had experience with the ride on a very similar platform. It's honestly 1000x times better. No swaying...
My truck has the HD trailer package as well- I just replaced the factory air shocks with new OE versions. I would have liked to replace them with Fox as well but couldn't get a clear answer on how to properly convert to non air leveling without issue.
Just installed Fox 2.0 front shocks, replaced the factory rears with OE shocks (air leveling) and 275/60/20 BFG K02s. The rear is about 3/4" lower so my plan is to put 1" readylift spacers back there. I had this setup on my 15' Silverado and loved the ride- and it feels even better on this...
Yeah I contacted them directly and they verified they don not supply suspension for 15'+ model years. I think I'll just get the OEMs out back and the Fox 2.0s up front.
Arnott doesn't make any products for 15'+ model year GM trucks. Anyone? Someone has to have replaced the stock rear air leveling shocks with something aftermarket.....
I just picked up a 15' Tahoe LT with the HD tow package and Z85 rear leveling air suspension. The shocks are shot all around, so I need to replace them. I had the Fox coilovers and rears on my 15' Silverado and they were great. Can i use the same setup on this truck without issue? What do people...
