What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?
Bought some parts for the Tahoe yesterday and today. Got some DJM 3" arms, shocks and springs on the way....... Gonna be a 3/5 drop soon. Can't wait. Mike- M Hankel

Belltech 8521 Front Shocks
Well the problem is that I picked up a Belltech 136 kit (keys/springs/shocks) off Craigslist last night for dirt cheap. The two front shocks are brand new/never installed but they're the 8521's for use with 2" keys. No worries though. Also picked up a used set of DJM arms and they came with...- M Hankel

Belltech 8521 Front Shocks
They are for NBS 00-06 Tahoe/Yukon etc. Belltechs website says they good for 2" drop in front. Just not sure if they'll work withe the 3" DJM arms? I might add a 1" key w the djm arms later as well. Alex do you have a part number for your Billsteins? I could prolly find some measurements for...- M Hankel

Belltech 8521 Front Shocks
Will these work with the DJM 3" arms? Did a little research and they measure: compressed=10.25, extended=14.75. If they will work with the DJM arms, how low could I go with these? Mike- M Hankel

03 tahoe smoking help
Valveseals would be a good guess. I had an 88 IROC (way back in the day) that did that same thing, only a couple times a month. Replaced the valveseals and it went away. Mike- M Hankel

Wheels
I had a bad vibration/shimmy in the steering wheel after installing some used 22's. The shimmy would come and go as I drove. Traced it to a tire that was worn funny from the previous rig. The guy re-balanced it a different way and it took most of the shimmy out. Now I can barely feel it at...- M Hankel

OT - No not yet. I think I'm gonna do the 2" keys up front for now until I can get the DJM 3" arms for the front. kinda stumped...
Most fuel injection pressure test gauges have a schrader valve (just like a valve stem) attachment. You can connect it directly to the fuel rail. Once you hit the ignition key it should prime the rail to 55+psi. Anything less than 25psi and it probably wont run, indicating a bad pump. My...- M Hankel

When my fuel pump died it did the same thing. Would start for a few seconds then die. Was the battery actually dead or was that just what the tow truck driver decided to tell her? Mike- M Hankel

I wouldn't do an HD hood. Your Tahoe looks great as-is, or if anything, a cowl induction hood would look good. I just don't get the whole HD hood craze. Those HD hoods look OK on lifted trucks, but I personally think they look out of place on a lowered ride. JMHO of course. :) Mike -
