From what I can tell without pulling the console, the harness comes from the radio, passes through the RSE, and returns to the front all under the console. Where they split off is anyones guess. The plan is just to run new wire to the rear 4 speakers. I can do that in less time and less...- Kenny D

Non bose system. The RSE works, sound through headphone jacks and sound through the output wires leading to the speakers. I looked at my manual's diagrams also. That is why I think the break is in the harness after the RSE and before the rear speakers. The RSE I have is just the radio, no tv...- Kenny D

No I didn't bypass it, I am just going to splice into the output of the RSE that way it still functions. I just find it weird that I have sound to the RSE because the headphones work and output wires give sound but none of the rear 4 speakers play. Has to be a major break in the harness...- Kenny D

I read a service bulletin that the wiring can become damaged in the B pillar by the seatbelt retractor. I have already pulled the covers in the past and seen no chaffing or damage. Vibration at 70 or faster
I had the same issue with a 99 burb and with my 09 tahoe. Tire guy told me my wheels were bent on the 09, bought new wheels and it came back. I haven't used it as a wash in itself, I had already washed the Tahoe and just misted it on the surface while I dried. It got all the spots that had already dried and left a slick shiny finish. I did notice that the dust that settled on it last night blew off as I drove into work.- Kenny D

I bought some of this stuff to use on my wheels. I had read that it keeps the road crud and brake dust down. After washing it yesterday, I decided to use it as I dried off the Tahoe and it made a huge difference.- Kenny D

Depending on how center you are on the starting drill hole, you may not be able to salvage the original threads. If you are real close to center, once you start to see the appearance of threads, you can probably work it out with a punch but if the threads are really rusted together you will just...- Kenny D

Useless Information
An easy out is really just for bolts that are broken from over torque or sheared off and not for seized or rusted in place. If you break a bolt trying to remove it, it is best just to drill it out and re-tap or get a Heli-coil kit because it isn't coming out.- Kenny D

You may need to look online and order you a carbide tipped or solid carbide drill bit. You can check with MSC industrial or McMaster Carr. Possibly if you have a Grainger close by, they may have one.- Kenny D

But how does an aftermarket amp hooked to the RCA jacks feed back into the factory harness, to me this box just looks like a splice that draws the signal from the factory harness and feeds the inputs on the amp. Where does the outputs of the amp go to?- Kenny D

I am interested. I just googled the model number of the unit and if it is the same one, your rear audio system will still work and be put through the rear channel of the outputs. I am not sure if it is the same unit, do you have a link to the one you purchased?- Kenny D
