I looked at one very similar as a replacement for my suburban, but decided I want the interior space, so waiting for the orders to open. What engine did you get?
I like the looks of the Suburban over the Yukon XL, but the options combination I want only come on the XL. So I guess the XL is starting to grow on me....
AND for the Suburban a tan interior option. Right now the configurator for 2025 (but you can't order yet) has black or grey. Who wants grey or gray (sorry if I offend). My riding buddy has tan fur and black interior is just a PITA.
Stealer charged my daughter $240 to change a wheel stud that took them less than 38 minutes from start to pay the cashier. I guess I am still not over that one either.
Changed the oil, extracted 6 qts trans fluid and replaced, extracted PS fluid and replaced. I do those two every other oil change or more often if I am inclined.
In your opinion how did your XL compare in features and cost wise to a similar diesel Suburban? I recently decided to retire my 2011 and get something with the diesel.
Daughters Escape was ziebarted. They sprayed the outside of the frame with the black coating, not the inside. Drilled holes for plugs in the body cavities but DID NOT spray the oil product into the holes above the rear wheel wells. Once rust started I figured it out and sprayed Fluid Film in...
I almost swapped my 2011 for a 2019 Suburban Premier creampuff. According to the sales manager the 2019 was a creampuff, spotless, like new CPO with only 50K miles. A little high priced, but you know, for a creampuff worth it. We were in the area so stopped by. As soon as my wife opened the door...
That was one of my symptoms when I had bad grounds under the vehicle. Spent probably a half hour under the vehicle finding and cleaning the grounds and that solved it.
I used the gruven kit with metal gear which requires a new gruven motor as well so it doesn’t short out thru the metal. I also had the eBay (I think) nylon replacement which I think would have worked just as well with the old motor but much cheaper.
Dang I had the exact same thing happen to me on an explorer years ago. Nobody (except finally me) could figure it out. It was new and one of those failsafe tstats as well.
Replaced the main battery. The old one was a Diehard Platinum with 4 year replacement warranty that died hard after 2.5 years. Advance tested it and then replaced it with a new one no problem.
What will be the purpose of your dual battery setup? Mine is set up so I can power my camper from my MAIN battery (in the original location) with my secondary battery solely as a backup in case the main battery gets run down or fails. That just happened. My MAIN battery (Diehard Platinum with...
Welcome to the forum from Ohio, “The Heart Of It All”.
I was in Tampere many times working back in the 2018-2019 timeframe. I believe it was Näsijärvi Lake where my friend Nara fell through the ice. No harm done but his pants did freeze solid.
A very hospitable country.
Hope you get a lot...
I really don't think you needed to change that bad lifter. JUST kidding, read on. So, I was picking up my daughter a while back at the airport and as I pulled into the cell phone lot I see another 2011 WHITE Suburban LTZ just exactly like the twin of mine backed into a spot in the back row. So...
I also use an equalizer hitch and it works great. It is easy to set up but be sure to watch the videos and understand how to do it. The dealer had ours out of whack when we picked it up.
I swapped out my front pads yesterday as well. It was glorious zero issues after my ordeal with the rears last month. We leave on a three week camper trip today.
I got a roofing nail in my tire, which caused me to have to bleed my master cylinder. :(
Yes, it was a wtf 2 days... about halfway through I was thinking about selling the house and moving to Oregon or wherever @OR VietVet lives so he could put my Suburban back together....
Here is what...
You are correct! But then I think of the rust forming around my rear wheel wells... I don't mind fixing mechanical things at all, and it usually saves a lot of money... but dang, Ohio RUST!
I heard Wo ody Guthrie singing while I was reading your experience:
“There was a big, high wall there that tried to stop me
A sign was painted said "Private Property"
But on the backside, it didn't say nothing
This land was made for you and me”
