No not looking for miliage lol. It’s a truck. I have a tuned 6.0 taho. It’s a great truck but too lite duty for towing 10,000lbs. But it gets 8mpg when I tow. Not great but not bad. If I could get 10-12 mpg towing I would be ok with that. And I will look that guy up. Thanks. All info is...
That’s great to know. Thanks
What is your mileage like ?
I am looking into a 2500 sub. Prefer a 8.1 but not sure if a 6.0 is the better way to go. Since they are the ones more available. I am using it to tow mostly. I don’t want a huge car payment so I think a old one and I can still mod it
What is the reliability of a 8.1L ? Are they about the same as an 6.0L??
The 8.1 is fairly rare around here so I am not sure. I had a buddy with a 98 3500 suburban with a 454 and it was great. Only problem was the manifold gaskets kept blowing.
Your right. That’s not too bad. But I did just wash it and went an hour up the hwy and this is what happened. Lol. Got to love the snow and the shit they put on the roads !!!
Before I washed it , every thing from the roof rack down was white. I think it was the most dirty “salted” i ever seen it
Went for a 600 mile run up north in a snow storm. I changed my tires to Bridgestone duller ats before I left. Thank god I did. Just before I left. Looks calm but didn’t last long!-37 celcus so cold the fire didn’t want to stay lit ! Chilling over the frozen lakes edge beleave it or not...

Just came across this 8.1L sub !!! Going to look into it tomorrow. Bad part is it’s 5 hours away from me
I replaced my springs with the moog HD z-71 springs and it rides much better than the wore out springs. And when I tow my big trailer it sits 1/2 higher. And the 4600 shocks make the taho ride like a caddy. Can’t believe how much of a difference it made. My old shocks were only 4 years old...
