Electric fans enough for 3/4 ton XL that tows?
The fans run on low speed all the time and kick to high with A/C. Not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to be but that’s how mine are. 2000 GMC Yukon XL K2500 6.0/4L80e/3.73s/BlackBear tune 2014 Aerolite 282DBHS TT- bfourman

Quick update on this. So far I really like the efans. Towed the Jeep for a few hours without any issues, truck seemed to have more pep. Ambient temp was in the 40s, so not really a cooling system test. I did have to replace the OEM high speed relay in the secondary PDC, when it went out it...- bfourman

Bad Trailer Sway/ 02 Yukon XL SLT. Changes to make?
Your sway was 100% caused by not enough tongue weight. You need 15% of the trailer weight on the tongue or sway will occur. Once you get your tongue weight set properly, and you don’t like how much the Yukon sags then you can look into air bags or a WD hitch. All the trick towing stuff in...- bfourman

Ended up with the fans and complete front end harness and fuse block for the fans. They pulled for me, grand total of $117.- bfourman

As luck would have it I may have located a '05 Silverado 4.3L at a local yard. Rockauto shows the same P/N across the board for cooling fans so I am going to try and check it out tomorrow; hopefully I can scoop the fans and wiring harness both.- bfourman

I already have a BB tune, so that will be the way I'll go. I have a list of things I want to update/change anyway. As far as harnesses go, ls1fans or Nelson? I have read pos/neg of both. The likelihood of finding OEM locally is slim to none, probably end up with a Dorman or Spectra unit and...- bfourman

Considering converting my 00 Yukon XL to electric fans. Do they move enough air to keep a 6.0L cool with 8k of trailer behind it? I have read that they turn off over a certain MPH, if the engine temp comes up on a long uphill pull, will the e fans kick on and pull enough air to keep it cool...- bfourman
