A little of both. Amazon had some good deals like AC Delco plugs and wires, Summit Racing had the best price(and in stock) the AC Delco water pump..... and there is one in town........ fluids and other parts local chain auto store
This is the list I'm working off for my new to me/100k service. Just hit 120,000. I am going through snow drifters list since he just posted it for you too (its should be a separate thread and pinned in the engine section!)

THANKS fless!!!! Just what I needed. I don't think it was on right when I took it off as it was never that stable before. Gotta love those KISS things..... Keep It Simple Steve
Recently replaced my water pump. When I pulled the upper fan shroud out the lower one was was just sitting there all floppy. I know the lower is attached to the upper via the 4 tabs and the upper has the 2 bolts holding that in, but it sems to me there has to be holding the shrouds in and...
My HS shop teacher use to say the garage Tommy Knockers must have blood for all good projects……. I guess this is must be a good project! It took me 3 days but I got a few items off the 100k/new to me service list with the radiator flush, new serpentine belt, new AC belt, new water pump and a...
Another little item checked off the 100k/new to me service..... Power steering flush. This was pretty bad so I'll repeat it in about a 1k miles.

I just bought mine the other day for the next on the to do list, I also grabbed a thermostat. trying to decide if I should just replace the belt to since its off. Mine is in good shape, the belt is an easy to do later, and while not to bad $ money wise, there are other things more pressing...
Thanks wj. On the Summit Racing site its shows about a dozen or so AC Delco water pumps that all say they fit my specific vehicle and range in price from $99 to $200 and look the same to me. Just tryiong to see what others have used or recommend

Check off another item on the list. The day was nice, the garage was open and the new bump stops came in. Next up is the transmission filter and the water pump (after a nice flush). BTW, does anyone have the OEM part number for a water pump for an 02 5.3 gas.
Note to self..... when cleaning the throttle body DON'T drop the nut that bolts it on...... you know that one thats hidden under the throttle body and blocked by the alternator. But if you do, it's a #12-24 coarse thread. GM dosen't carry it anymore, none of the chain auto stores have it and...
Its an '02 GMC Yukon SLT with the 5.3 gaser. I think some of the difference in gap is partly due to the tip wearing/burning off. Hard to tell in the pic but in person the tips really show it.
I used the AC Delco OEM 41-962 plugs and the wires are AC Delco OEM 9748HH. I had a devil of...
In the continuing process of the 100k/ new to me total service I did the plugs and wires. With a 118k on her I was surprised how soft the wires rubber were and tore just about every one of them getting them off. They were stuck beyond stuck and have to work like a dog with hose pliers just to...
Thanks for all the info SD. With that, I have decided to have it done. I'm too broke these days to be laying on my back for this. I 'll have them do the bypass and the ring while they are at it
Thanks for all the help!

Just wondering the time it takes to put in a new oil pan gasket on 02, 5.3 with 4wd. Trying to see if its worth it to take in and have it done.
Thanks

Yep..... pulled my old one out after a couple of kids window shopped my rig one morning at about 3. I know a kid with a hack saw can get through it in about 20 seconds and even faster with a sawzall but its all about another layer of deterrent...the neighbors car is easier than this...
whoops my bad!!!! The frustration of the stores was getting to me.... 2002 GMC Yukon 5.3 gas.
Coils are fine, plugs will get replaced (have that #), wires are probably ok but going to switch them out as part of the "New to me Love" project. BTW 118,*** on the odometer
A little snow so far but nothing of note.... not like we get 'real" snow anyway. But in what little we have had they are noticeably better than the KO2s I had on my other vehicle. What little off road I have done they are very capable and the DD stuff they are very quiet and a very smooth...
Depending on your specific DIS it still might be worthy to consider in at least looking at doing it as access is fairly easy. I have limited use of both arms (dexterity, range of motion and strength) and still going to give it a go.
Don't forget to do the rad flush while your at either...
