    Belltech Spindle Clearance

I have had belltech 2" drop spindles on my truck for a year or so now, and just switched back to my 17" wheels for winter. I have an 04 LT. The jamb nut they supply with the spindles only threads on the acdelco ball joint evedently, had to go to fastenal and order a new jamb nut for my moog ball...

They are on top, directly under the intake manifold, just like the 5.3. Chances are when they changed the intake gaskets they pinched a wire or something going to the knock sensors, there are two.

    Confirm part #'s zw7 conversion...

A lot of guys run moog z-71 springs with bill stein 5100 shocks, or whatever you want really. If you don't want the extra height from the z71 springs you can run the standard moog ones with whatever shocks you'd like. As long as you get rid of both the zw7 spring and shock you are good.

lower ball joint replace or new control arms? 85k

I just changed upper control arms and lower ball joints on my 04 with 135k. Left lower control arms alone and just pressed in and out moog ball joints, didn't wanna mess with torsion bars. Bushings still looked good and they dont squeak. For what its worth, I'm not impressed with moog's new boot...

Dear god dont use an electric drill/impact when you put it back together and criss-cross as you tighten it down. LOL

    fuel sending unit/fuel pump

Ignition control module? Coil? Crank position sensor? Trying to think of electronic things that dont like heat that could kill ignition momentarily.

How to keep fog lights on automatically?

^^ Thats what I did on my 04, only I used the trigger pin for the low beam relay and ran a diode from there to my fog relay. In the winter I also run a diode from my high beam relay to my low beam relay, so that when the weather is bad at night I can put on my highs and all 3 stay on.

    Transmission Fluid Flush??

I've had good luck with oreilly stuff, they have powertorque (off-brand), wix, and access to gm parts in their warehouse as well. They also stock the fitting that screws into the radiator, and some clear hose. If its newer than 06 it takes dex-vi. Older takes dex-iii, or you can upgrade to the...

    Oil change without jacking car?

If you can get the nose end uphill a little, as the oil drains out the pan it may just miss running all over a skid plate just below the pan lol. Plus it helps it drain easier out of the flat bottomed pan. LOL I thought flat bottomed girl as i typed that. Anyway, yeah if you can fit under it you...

    SYLVANIA H11 SilverStar zXe Experience

I've used the zxe's before. While not in the same league as HID light output, they are noticeably brighter and whiter than stock.

    Transmission Fluid Flush??

He's an ass, working off commission. Your owners manual is the key here...follow it and you wont have issues. However, changing it more often won't hurt anything either. I agree with all previous advice on here.

Oil pressure pegged at 80 all the time.

I just did mine, a mirror on a stick helps you get a good idea of what you have to do. I used an oil pressure sending unit socket on a swivel, and then a 12 inch extension to my ratchet up above the hood line. The only thing I had to unhook was the electrical connector on the switch itself, and...

Oil pressure pegged at 80 all the time.

99% of the time its the sending unit. Don't go tearing into the dash first, do the sending unit.

    Bought a travel trailer

    1. Weight distribution hitch will make it tow much better. Fluid change isnt a bad idea, motive makes a good bleeder set up. I think stock brakes are fine. Id wait until they are due next time and go better then. 2. I'd pull the pan, do filter and fluid, maybe replace with a deep aluminum finned...

    Switches, Relays, Wiring

I'd be concerned that one individual relayed acc would not draw enough to blow a single large fuse, so if you had to put like a 40 amp fuse to allow all 3 relays to run at the same time, and one of your switched accessories had an issue, it would start doing damage before it blew the fuse. Id...

    2004 Tahoe Parasitic Battery Drain

I have the stock radio on mine, along with an aftermarket amp, and you have to be careful when you choose a amp remote wire. The radio and security system work together so every time a door is opened or the fob is used the radio powers up. But if you dont have an amp you wouldnt have that problem.

    Question about the auto 4WD

Auto 4x4, in my experience, sucks lol. I have it as well. Even when in that mode, it will stay in 2wd until it realizes you are sliding via wheel speed sensors. Then it will try to redirect power to the front, and when it does so one front and one rear will spin. If the weather is bad, I always...

    Tire size recommendations please

I am lowered 2/3 and have 275/55R20's. It doesn't rub currently but its sooooo close to rubbing the front of the wheel well when I'm at lock or close to it. Anything AT or bigger and I'm afraid you'd have to trim some plastic. EDIT: I'm not sure what my offset is tho...
