Tire time what's good?!?!?
I currently run the 421q on rear and the faulken ziex up,front. I dont worry one bit about wet weather traction or hardcore braking. Eventually i will have the 421's on all four corners, but for now.thats what i have and it works dang good for the retarded driving i do. I would,have the 420's... -
Engine swap advise
Ok, then get a LS based tahoe/yukon and dump the old rides. You would be wise to look down south for a replacement. Especialy location like arizona. Basiclaly anywhere that dpesnt snow or freeze very often. No rust and the vehicles are generally taken better care of.- ezdaar

Lifter tick
Thats either piston slap or lifter tick. No way other than a rebuild to stop piston slap, but dont worry about it. Its very common in these engines. Lifter tick can however be solved most of the time with a variety of methods. Simplest is to use seafoam or transmission fluid in the oil. You...- ezdaar

wow, its that bad? Maybe make some reinforcements to support it. Maybe glass its bottom side to make it more rigid and able to support it self? You could glue it down along the sides after its been glassed on the bottom, then smooth the edges of the cover to blend it. then finally paint it? -

dude, you wasted a trans, had it rebuilt, but not upgraded and now your mechanic is telling you take it back to stock and he doesnt know ANY one who can do it. He is telling you to piss away that money you spent on the tune. FIND A NEW MECHANIC!- ezdaar

I don't see any trash talking. You do not want to attempt a 454 to 5.7 swap. Skip that nonsense. That's two vehicles in your driveway dead. Just swap the trans in that 93 and be done with the nonsense. But...... IMO, Skip both of those vehicles. Find a 2000 with a 5.3 LS in it. 2wd with a...- ezdaar
