That would create a severe angle for the CVs and would not be recommended. I am assuming you meant leaving the 2.5" spacer and adding the 5100s to provide more lift. Also the rear shocks would not provide any lift in the back and you would have the Cali lean.
You have torsion bars up front, so you will need keys (or a proper lift) but that is only recommended up to 2.5" to limit CV angles. As far as the rear I believe you can just replace with regular shocks and not use the compressor. Hopefully those with autoride will chime in.

Yep you can definitely tell the difference between good and discount tires.
Yeah I love driving in the snow up here. It is fun blasting through deep offroad snow with the Nitto Trail Grapplers :D!
Of course keeping the family safe and having peace of mind is important :peace:.
Report back when the weather is drier (maybe next year for you :roflsquared:), and try 2WD mode.
Macho why are you running in Auto mode in Seattle? No snow there yet right? Try going back to 2WD mode!
I am getting around 16 mpgs with a level kit and heavy Nitto Trail Grapplers (90% city now). Although I have 4.10s in the diffs and the old 4L60E tranny.
BFG KO ATs are good tires. Not sure why the shops you visited indicated that the same size Terras would not fit unless they meant the Terras were not available in that size.
IMO the Terras are better than the BFG KO ATs. I have those BFGs on my 2012 Trail Teams FJ. Another option is the...
Good to hear. Can you post what you mean about messing with the TB and MAF so others can replicate? Or do you think resetting the ECU twice was the trick?
FYI for those Z71s thinking about 285/65/18s on stock Z71 wheels, mine rubbed even with the 2.5" level kit and I had to trim about 2 inches from the front valence. This was readily apparent when offroading and with the wheel stuffed at full flex over larger rocks.
Yes 275/55/20 may come on a few trucks from the factory but the Z71 front bumper is a little more restrictive than the base bumper. It should not be like that, but based on what others have posted base model versus Z71; the Z71 needed more trimming.
He asked about the 285/55/20 and I was...
IMO 285/55/20s will still rub with a 1.5" level kit. Or did you mean wheel spacer? The wheel spacer may increase the rub, but it really depends on the backspacing/offset. I would go to a reputable wheel/tire shop, and they should help you out with actual measurements.
To me 20" rims look...
Yes a tuner should be able to do the throttle cal. Let us know if that fixes it.
Gonzo it has been awile and the truck looks good with the new tires (KM2?).
Great pictures so far. However, if they are advertising their work shouldn't they show pictures of trucks they actually worked on? Or is the flyer for something else?
IMO stock height stick to 275/50/20 and even then you might have a little rubbing on the front valence. Z71 front valence is a little more space restrictive than stock which does not make sense. I think 60 series will be pushing it at 32.99 inches, and 55 series might fit at 31.91 inches. I...
My 07 Tahoe interior still looks new with 74k miles, except for the cargo area. We use it for camping and the back side plastic parts are pretty scratched up, but that would happen on any vehicle.
Yes the Touareg's interior is a lot better and the TDI is a monster. But I would be worried...
