IMO just bring it to the dealer since it is under warranty and have the issue logged. BTW are you using Tier 1 gas (Chevron, Phllips, etc.)? Any other mods?
Regarding the BB Tune depends on how much you want to spend, can you do an in person tune, and will you want to change/adjust in the future (more mods).
As far as CAI, hopefully someone with a 6.2L can chime in (SS?). IMO depends on what your objectives are. In my experience, CAI with...
You can buy a Magnaflow X-pipe (I would not use an H). I agree with goodinblack regarding lossing low end if this is not done correctly. The piping will need to be sized so the exhaust velocity does not drop; at the very least keep the same OEM piping diameter (also not efficient though)...
Is the Yukon AWD and for those of you with larger rims/tires, did you get the speedometer/odometer adjusted for the increased size?
It seemed like the Tahoes with the 4.10s were getting better mileage. The thought was the truck could get up to speed with less effort and it seemed like V4...
Similar calcs when I bought mine back in 2007. But you not getting very good mileage on regular. I got better when I was stock (~17 city mpgs), and getting around ~16 mpgs now with level kit and MT tires (but I have the BB tune :driver:).
I have never had to clean out the slots on my rotors for the Tahoe or G35 coupe. The pad material should not accumulate/clump like that. On the Tahoe, my setup has been on for 50k (4 years) and I have nad no accumulation. On the G35, which I drove hard, that setup was on for 7 years and 3...
Hmmm, if the stock exhaust piping is 2.5-inch then increasing to 3-inch may reduce the exhaust velocity (reduce scavaging) which will result in a loss of torque in the low/mid range. IMO I would research a little more (GMFS forum) to see some real world results.
In any case, I would like to...
Sounds like you are having the battery discharge issue. There is a TSB out for this and a reprogram can be done by the dealer and have the battery checked again. Also have the alternator checked.
Did you buy this used?
For this class of SUV the suspension is pretty good for everyday driving. If you want more compliance, IMO a change in struts/shocks would be the way to go. Go to a suspension shop and discuss what you want. I have heard Bilstien 5100s are pretty plush, but I have had no direct experience...
^ unless I am missing something, that proceedure does not recalibrate the throttle body.
Also I would not recommend touching the positive and negative connections together, the ECM and other components are sensitive.
