Here you go :mexsmoke:. Mods as noted in my sig.
Great setup: retains stock ride and great offroad. Louder than AT type tires but still quieter than a full MT tire. So far have 34k miles on them and they are wearing great (probably get another 10k with tread still left). You need to run...
You need to do the TB reset/calibration. Search this forum, but I recall you need the Tech II device to do this. Did you disconnect the electrical connections to the TB while cleaning?
FYI on another forum, some one put on the Bilstein 5100s and it wasn't as high as the CCM. Also there was less damping than the Z71 struts, so it was less firm/more roll.
IMO the lowering kit needs to be removed and stock parts installed. Also was there any cutting/welding that was done to accommodate the lowering kit and were the bump stop cut or extended? Not sure which kit to have on.
Sounds like it is a perception thing going from lowered suspension and low profile tires to stock. Your last post also indicates you are using Sierra rear shocks that would have a different damping rate than one for the Tahoe. Also which springs/struts did you use?
You need to bed the brakes in properly. Contact the rotor company to find out their recommended bed-in procedure. Before getting new pads, try a very fine grit sand paper to the rotors and pads (I bet they are glazed). The purpose is to expose new material for the bed-in procedure (not taking...
Fatboy that sucks and I know what you mean regarding kids. Is your rig modded and/or do you tow a lot?
InTruck, when you say common, is this for modded rigs? Just curious. I remember the issues you had with your last Tahoe...
I have EBC slotted rotors and EBC Greenstuff pads for about 50k (4 years) with some winter weather. No problems, but I am not sure how much pad is left. Looks like a lot still just looking at them with the wheel on. BTW we camp a lot with a full load and travel up/down steep grades.
I...
You are almost there :mexsmoke: and I would like the losses would be more like 15% (or was that based on your stock dyno?). Check the fullsize forum, those guys have some great builds.
Those 6.2s are strong with mild mods.
?What were the results?
2 or 4WD dyno? Which gear did you use (is 4th a 1:1)?
Edit: saw the other post. Still would like to know which gear you used and see a dyno chart.
Good to hear they figured it out . BTW I was not recommending swapping out your $1k spacer kit, just replacing the old stock shocks. Is that right though, the spacer kit cost $1k for parts and labor?
That's a big improvement... Keep in mind detonation (ping) may have been addressed by enriching the A/F ratio (adding more fuel) and there was butt dyno perceived increase in performance. An increase of 2.5 mpgs is a lot. Is the COW a dyno tune?
Is this based on the DIC or hand calculated...
Sweet that you have the 4l80e! It must have a different over-drive ratio because I am at ~2,500 rpms or less at 80 mph. I also have 285/65/18 size tires though.
