Mid grade fuel octane is a mixture of the low grade and premium that is mixed at the pump while dispensing. So even if rarely sold its as fresh as the other 2 options.
As far as the rough idle my 16 usually starts that as I get near my oil change time. Every oil change I run seafoam...
That sounds like it happens right at tip in before the engine even revs. I still do not think its lifter related as its not continuous or constant. Im curious as to what they find.
I have not but I have thought about getting one myself to use with my Modus scope functions. I figured I could see how much I liked it then possibly build or buy one if possible for the equipment I work on.
While its not a vehicle I do deal with can-bus systems on heavy equipment. Normally when I see a ton of errors relating to module communication its intermittent power/ground issues. Usually a bolted down ground somewhere has gone bad, a chaffed power wire, chaffed can wires or a dirty/loose...
its not continuous. I would get a zip tie and look at the exhaust flap and zip tie it open to see if it stops. If so nothing major wrong and its safe to buy. That noise is not normal operation but could be simple to solve.
The handling is the key reason I even got the Tahoe vs a expedition or ecoboost explorer. Im partial to GM despite all the mistakes lately because they still just ride better. Plus so much aftermarket.
The only fords I drive are old diesels anymore thankfully. My service truck is a old 2000 F550 with the 7.3. Turbo noises and it beats the hell out of you lmao. my father in law and my boss are both big ford fans. I hate riding with them if I have to. Like you said boat on the lake.
So my 16 is in the body shop now for the needed repairs after being backed into a few weeks ago. Other guys insurance set me up with a unlimited mileage rental. Enterprise gave me a brand new Armada and it just sucks.
Comparing it new to my 4 year old Tahoe its awful. It has more HP but...
May be a luck thing who knows. The ones I have dealt with were older units in old k1500s. I had a 92 and a 96. 92 was a auto the 96 was a manual both with the 5.7. Both built pretty much the same. 35 baja claws with Rancho RS9000XL shocks with the my ride system and compressor, tuned prom...
This right here is exactly it. Metal is going to warp when it gets to hot. Does not matter what brand it is. Pulse the brakes when stopping hard or plan early and use light braking early. Even factory Brembo can handle only so much these vehicles are heavy and are not race cars no matter how...
just to throw my 2 cent in. I have beat the hell out of multiple trucks with a G80 and never blew one up. If you use the right fluid at the right interval and do not rev to all hell when your tires slip it should not blow. They blow when people peg the RPMs before they engage so they engage...
The AFE is more than a little noise. Its a wonderful sound and is significantly throatier and louder than the stock setup. They do provide a decent amount of HP for a CAI and are super easy to install. But a tune be it canned or a custom would net a bit more from the CAI and of course the...
I missed that part on the can damn lol. But I use the fuction to test throttle and increase throttle % to get my 2k so its opening the butterfly and not using the air bypass. Which serves the same purpose as holding it at 2k with the go peddle. My lonely ass has no assistants lol.
The seafoam aerosol states on the can to put it in at the TB boot with a specified distance from the butterfly. I use it every oil chance as directed on the can and I do get a good bit of smoke once I accelerate a bit hard as it states. I use my Modus to set the RPMs to 2k at idle and spend a...
I turned most settings off in mine. I hate things like the auto windows and such as I have seen too many times people accidentally roll them all down then it rains lol. I do not have onstar active either. I plan to check it again today just to be certain. Either way battery is under warranty...
Im guessing its my fob but my alarm has started randomly going off when the vehicle is off and parked. Also sometimes once the Tahoe is shut off the locks randomly just start going locked to unlocked rapidly like crazy. I plan to check the vehicle battery at work tomorrow though its about a...
doubtful as you would be going to a entire new rear end setup and im willing to be the new ones are a bit smaller than the solid rears were. Possibly not though. Other than limited slip or not I would be worried as well about the half shafts/CVs and their strength when wheeling or even just...
including what was said above you could also get up under it and grab the exhaust at different points and shake it to check for anything loose. I had near my entire exhaust on my 2016 work loose in the first few thousand miles.
Also check the spare tire it could be possibly loose slightly.
Sadly I knew all the older up to atleast 08 G80 Gov loc setups did not require the fluid but the shop I last worked at failed to listen. I worked for a major refinery here on forklifts and all company trucks. around 150 lifts and at least that in GM trucks ranging from 80s models to 2017s...
