    Starter was bound up. Got it running. Thanks Ive got 185,000. Starter doesnt look that bad visually. Makes me wonder if its OEM. I will probably swap it out. And replace the mag light i smashed getting it freed up.

    Climbed under. All visually looks ok. Banged on starter. Cleaned and tightened battery contacts. Still no juice to starter

    No codes. I scanned. Is the solenoid remote or on the starter? wouldnt i. Hear a click at the starter if voltage was getting to it?

    once it wears through. i think the noise is symptomatic of the early stages. Has not happened to me. But ive read of a few cases of it.

    from some reading i have done, there is a pretty common wear point where some component wears through the case. I know they make a product to protect it, but requires splitting the case.

    I switched to an entire led housing after doing led bulbs for a year. Not as bright as led bulbs. But im happy with them. And no more toasted sockets

    Driveshaft vibration 6" lift on 2 door Tahoe

    i am just throwing this out as i had a minor vibration after doing u joints. another member told me to undo the shaft and spin it 180 degrees. Got it from another member here, but cant recall who. In short, that was all it took, no more vibration. Costs noting, so i would start there.

    i was going to look this morning, but its a monsoon. It does seem that any sign of smoke/smell is gone though. Thanks for the ideas though guys, i will be going under to take a closer look to be sure.

    I was thinking that, but its not like they are spring loaded to retract. Ive only put on maybe 30 miles with the new pads and rotors. I will make sure to have someone there when I climb under. good idea.

    I might have been chasing an issue that didn't exist. They were getting hot, but seems to have resolved itself. Ill give it a few days and crawl under to inspect. but no more smoke, no more smell.

    Id say given the milage its a strong possibility. You can googlehow to test for gasket leaks. It doesnt appear a horrendous job. Ive just been lazy to do mine.

    without knowing the milage on your Yukon. first guess is intake gaskets. wont kill anything, mine are bad and the parts are sitting in my kitchen still to do
