    were your DRL working correctly before the bulb switch? only reason i ask. my sockets look equally rough. but at the time i was to lazy to replace them. it was winter, no garage, blah.     here are a few of them more level from the front. and actually i looked at how to mount flush. I dont think it would be to bad. I would probably look at a different lens. but if you built a recess for the mounting point. would need a thicker piece of material i dont think it would be to bad.

    modifying z71 steps

    i saw his a while back. i do really like how it turned out, but i am not dropping as much. so id like to still retain some steps. I have them off now and get complaints pretty often. Mainly from my 6 year old who helped take them off.

    here is the piece installed. i think i am going to switch to some black tapered screws instead of the pan heads. they are #6. And I also included a pic from last night. 2 leds is probably overkill. but like i said, i have 10. and it looks pretty cool

    What is the one thing you hate most about your Tahoe or Yukon and what did you do to fix it???

    inside handles on the rear doors would be a win. I have barn doors. had to climb in one morning when the rest were frozen. Not thinking, pulled closed once in. Had to wait in the truck, in shorts and a t shirt. for the truck to warm enough to get out. not fun.

    i got everything all soldered together and shrink wrapped. i need to either get the plugs that fit the factory wires, or harvest them off the oem lenses. once thats done i can install.

    thanks. I have one hail dent that i would have taken care of first. And i would handle any prep myself before hand. I think im going to see if i can find a hobbiest. Ive done some paint work years ago, just never metallic.
