    I just did one in my 04 z71. With the trim kit. Nothing on the dash side needs trimming. The part you cut is inside the dash. A vertical reinforcing bar. A decent cut off wheel with a dremel has it out in minutes. I did mine, including my own soldiering in under 2.5 hours. All in for about $290

    If you cleaned the tb, did you push on the butterfly at all. Try a tb relearn. I forget the exact process. Google knows though

    I don't think you need to disconnect the battery. There is however a ton of sensor plugs. Each with its own rubix cube puzzle to unplug. Someone seriously should have won an award for how much a time suck it is figuring each out
