So if I get this straight you had problems with LEDs bulbs on a Yukon?
Just noticed this article and I did my 2004 Yukon Denali with led low beams and no flash. Didn't need the anti flicker boxes for them. Surprized actually that it was so easy, although I will say it is a slightly more...
Only thing is sorry when I changed the headlight bulbs threw the box out. I can try to get a pic at work of the ignite bulb box though

Brake lights and reverse lights
All bulbs except the headlights are Sylvania zevo. Changed them last summer and went through this winter with Temps as low as minus 50. All bulbs...
Yes I wanted people to know it can be done not to hard to do either. Plus these are not as likely to blow in thr cold weather.

I drive a 2004 GMC Yukon Denali with the projector headlights. Light has always been poor. Recently though I changed to led headlights and wow what a difference. 50 bucks Canadian and I have 8000 lumen headlight bulbs. They are excellent anyone curious I will try to post a picture soon.

In ending I do want to thank my pal for assisting me with testing. Like I said this isn't for everyone. I have tested this for over a year even in warm weather I have added 15w40 to my tank, and better fuel economy in town or on the highway.

Seeing as how my vehicle runs fine not really interesting in tearing apart the entire engine and exhaust.
I did disconnect my exhaust as well as check the intake and as stated no soot buildup

Oops made a little error in my estimated mpg.
We were going over the results, friend of mine has a Yukon as well and we both have the 6.0 liter engine and we usually get 20-22 mpg without oil. With oil in the fuel tank we get around 30 mpg instead. Although keep in mind these are my reafings a...
I got some help and a friend of mine and I checked exhaust with a flashlight as well as we did take apart the intake and no soot buildup. Also did some tests and when I put oil into my fuel instead of me getting around 12-14 mpg I tend to average around 20-22 mpg.
Anyways like I said this may...
I would suggest getting an AGM. The AGM or "dry cell" are a totally different build. They recover their energy faster when drained and can withstand a lot of harsh climates. They are also cold resistant. AGM stands for absorbent glass Matt.
So agms basically use about 2 mm of fluid around each...
I bought a new AGM battery (dry cell) works really good. As well I did purchase a DeWalt 1000 watt power station just in case I need to boost someone. The battery I bought has a 5 year warranty. I bought it from Canadian Tire.
Then again if you are from the USA could always see if a place has...
No have not had a chance to test with 2 stroke oil. I have used so far 0w20 to 10w40.
Although keep in mind I use the think oil in winter the thicker oil is fine in summer. I usually use 5w30.
Being that the amount of oil I am using is less than 10 percent of the fuel that is in the tank it...
Haven't had a chance to estimate accurate milage I do know highway my fuel economy is terrific. Also no soot. Injectors are clean, as well the intake is also fine. No soot around the exhaust at all. Warm up time about the same. Not saying this is for everyone and probably not for you. Although I...
Update to oil and gas mix. I have tested for over a year now and even in winter this works. Only thing you will notice is at temperatures starting around minus 20 you will smell burning oil for literally 30 seconds then the smell is gone. Otherwise really works great!

I have tested since March last year, going from 0w20 to 10w40 so far. Since I live I in Canada during the hot summer been using 10w30 most times. This winter trying 5w30 when it is minus 30 celcius. Had the idea from using Lucas lubricants Fuel additive which works. Motor oil does the same...
I did change all the drivetrain fluids last year as well, on top the rad was flushed. Added some supercooler additive and that helped lower Temps by about 15 degrees. It's a 2004 denali with 348,000 km's and running fine. I also just put the regular size all terrain tires on. Thanks guys.

Really odd that awd systems may not like all terrain tires.ine came with all terrain tires and the transfer case seems fine. Oh well.

Update. So far I will complete my year of testing using oil instead of Lucas lubricants. Cheaper does the same thing. In colder weather use 5w30. I have used up to 10w40 and used 2 to 3 liters per tank and works great. Exhaust is still clear and fuel is lasting much longer.
Haven't tested yet...
I haven't actually measured it but I did try an experiment for the past 6 months. Instead I add 2 to 4 liters of 5w30 to the tank of fuel and again much Better fuel economy. On one trip going just over 300 km's I used quarter tank of fuel.

Also I did try some Lucas lubricants Fuel additive. Works really well. Around town my Yukon is a lot better on fuel than before.

I had some fuel economy problems as well. Did and intake clean of my throttle body. Also I found under the plastic cover on top of the engine, a built in pcv valve and line. I cleaned through the hole into the engine and that helped a lot.
