    Leveling Questions 16 Hoe

I'm not going to purchase one that does not have the max trailer pkg, but I'm wondering how the rear load leveling will act (or compensate) for any weight when the front is already 2" higher than stock....in other words, if the front is already 2" higher and weight is put on the rear, will the...

    Leveling Questions 16 Hoe

Thanks for the info. Prior to seeing your photo, I was pretty much set in my mind on a 2in leveling kit. The 1.5 is certainly a noticeable difference from stock while not bordering on too high in the front.....that being said, the two inch does not appear nose high when the truck is empty, but...

Leveling kit, tires, wheels, grill installed- 2015 Yukon

Based on what I've seen, a 2.5 only on the front is going to put most trucks higher than the rear. I've seen several do the 2.5 frt/1.5 rear with a level result though. Some with the just the 2in appear to be level but added weight in the cargo area or via a trailer are going to put it nose...

Michelin Defender 275/55/20 or 60 series?

If I end up purchasing a tahoe with 20in wheels that will be the size I have the dealer put on at delivery. From the photos I've seen, it fills out the wheel wells nicely and the 275/60 size is not hard to come by in several brands that make it in less than E load rating. Michelin defender and...

    Leveling Questions 16 Hoe

Your Tahoe looks great with the 1.5". Are you running the stock 275/55-20's or a size larger? For some reason the tires look a little larger than stock, but maybe it's just me....

    Anyone running 265/70-18

What is the best time to purchase?

FYI-for what it's worth to anyone, order cutoff for 2017 Tahoe/suburban is 6/1/17. I do not know if this is nationwide or only for dealers in the southeast US. Confirmed by GM of local Chevy dealer.

What is the best time to purchase?

I am in the process of trying to find out when they are cutting off orders for the 2017 models. In my experience, I've always been able to get the new vehicle discounted the most when the next model year is starting to hit dealer lots, even more so when 2017's are harder to find and are...

Show off your 2015+ leveled Tahoes and Yukons!

Nice looking tahoe! What brand of tires are those? How do you like them? It appears from the pic you have room to go slightly larger.

    2018 Yukon Denali Updates?

Great. Sounds like another AFM type feature that could prove to be more problematic than helpful. I've driven a couple of Mercedes that have this feature (which you can disable in those) and found it to be fairly annoying and unnecessary.

    2018 Yukon Denali Updates?

True, they are coming out with the RST package, but I was under the impression that the other Chevrolet Tahoe and suburban trims will remain basically unchanged.....in terms of engine and tranny. Pleas correct me if I am wrong.

    Prices Paid

I like how you did business there. I don't do the haggle game at the dealership on the new truck. That price is worked out before I go. I have had to go back and forth in trade value a few times though. The last 4 vehicles I've bought, I get financing through my credit union at rates that...

    2018 Yukon Denali Updates?

I will have to check with my Chevy dealer this week and report back. I was planning to wait very late in the year or even at the very end to get a 2017, should I decide for sure on a Tahoe.

    2018 Yukon Denali Updates?

Does this mean that orders are also being taken starting 6/2 for the 2018 Chevrolet Tahoe/suburban? Is this verified info? It seems like 2018 models would be hitting the lots awful early for a line of suv's that aren't getting much of a refresh cosmetically or otherwise....at least as it...

Anyone own a Yukon and Durango?

I cannot speak to a durango's towing ability, but it is a comfortable and spacious ride. My wife put nearly 40k on hers that we just traded back in late January. It had not a single issue from new to when we traded it. Hers was not a SRT, it had the 3.6L and 8sp auto. I drove it many hours...

Looking to buy new 2017 Yukon

I'd venture to guess you're probably right about the super low first gear being developed with the 3.08 in mind. For curiosity sake, I'd like to drive a new Tahoe or suburban with the 3.08. I've not ever seen one in person on the lots of either of the dealers near me, at least not in the last...

Looking to buy new 2017 Yukon

Nope, I'm not sure his wife wants bigger tires or will tow anything at all. I was referencing your post (#18) where you stated that there is no difference in the 3.08 vs 3.42 unless there is a trailer hooked up. Just pointing out that if given the choice, the 3.42 is a better option, for...

2015 LTZ with a couple gremlins

That's completely unacceptable. GM or the dealer should be providing loaners to those with no working AC in the summer months if part supply is making customers wait 2-4 months.

Towing with the 2015 and up

Unless you just want a diesel and don't mind the 3/4 ton ride characteristics that go with it, I'd stick to a suburban/Yukon xl with the 3.42 and max trailer package. I say that based on the little amount of time you will actually tow and also because of the comment you made about being hooked...

    P or Lt Michellin defenders

There is no need to run LT. Many do and have no complaints. As long as the defender in question that is "P" rated is capable of carrying the same weight ratings as are currently printed on the driver door jamb sticker, you're fine. To me personally, there is a noticeable difference when...

Towing with the 2015 and up

I've not ever towed that much weight with any of my previous tahoes or suburban, so I can't speak to that. Unfortunately they no longer offer a 2500 in the Yukon xl/suburban platform, that would be much more ideal for this than towing with the 1500. As for the 3/4 ton truck vs the SUV, well...

    2017 Yukon Denali suspension

Also, you may already be aware of this, but you can get narrower 33" tires on one with just a leveling kit. I've seen it in person and in numerous posts on this forum. I don't know what would be required for a true 33x12.5 on an aftermarket wheel though. A BDS 4" lift should enable you to...

In need of a new SUV

I've yet to drive a 2017 that had buffeting that was noticeable to me, and I've only driven 2017 suv's. This is the second Tahoe I've driven and I also spent some time in a suburban. The first '17 tahoe I drove also had 20's and bridgestones and it had a pretty bad vibration that was felt...

Looking to buy new 2017 Yukon

Posted this in another thread, figured I'd put it here in case it is helpful to the original poster..... I took a 2017 Tahoe 2wd with 20in wheels, 3.42 rear end and roof rack cross rails installed from a dealer lot the other day. It had 4 miles on it when I got in. Absolutely no...

I took a 2017 Tahoe 2wd with 20in wheels, 3.42 rear end and roof rack cross rails installed from a dealer lot the other day. It had 4 miles on it when I got in. Absolutely no buffeting/booming that I could detect, and zero vibrations. I was extremely pleased at how well it rode, at all...
