High Miles 2015+ Tahoes or Yukons?

I've yet to see any posts I can remember from members with higher mileage on these, not saying they're not here though. The 2015's and up seem to have some widespread and common problems. I'm considering purchasing a Tahoe this year myself but it is highly unlikely that I will keep it very far...

    For those with larger tires...

Anyone? I know there are people here running e rated tires on these things.......

    For those with larger tires...

I posted this a couple of days ago in the exterior thread with no responses....figured I'd try here. For those with larger tires, specifically those of you running E rated tires on your 2015+ Tahoe/suburban.....how did it effect the ride quality? It seems there are few options for larger than...

GM is buying back my Yukon

Similar experiences here....two Ram 3/4 ton pickups with zero issues, and a loaded Durango that never saw the svc department except for oil changes up to the day it was traded at 40k miles. Out of the three GM pickups I've had since 2009, two of them were 1500's (with the 6sp auto) that were...

GM is buying back my Yukon

I can imagine that ecoboost twin turbo has some serious power! The expedition EL had a ton of power with just the 6sp tranny and single turbo v6. Enjoy it. I saw one here two weeks ago in that same color, and thought it looked really nice against the dark tinted windows that the driver had...

GM is buying back my Yukon

Congrats on the raptor, it looks great! I've had numerous Ford pickups since 1998 and they've all been basically trouble free. Speaking of Ford, my wife was supposed to be given a Tahoe rental last week but ended up in a '17 expedition instead, which had the ecoboost v6 in it. I believe the...

    For those with larger tires...

specifically those of you running E rated tires on your 2015+ Tahoe/suburban.....how did it effect the ride quality? It seems there are few options for larger than stock sized 18/20" tires that are anything less than E rated. My previous experiences would indicate that the heavier and stiffer...

2016 Denali XL - GMC Refused to buyback!

I'm familiar with the dealer in question, although I've never bought anything there. Have a Couple of friends who have done business there, one who had a complete debacle going on with service on an older 2500 pickup that was not under warranty. Dealer replaced several thousand dollars worth...

How many of you DO NOT experience buffetting and vibration problem?

Good points. It would be something if an item such as covering or modifying these vents could greatly reduce or eliminate the buffeting.

How many of you DO NOT experience buffetting and vibration problem?

Very interesting observation on the vent issue. You mentioned that they told you that the vent in the Yukon is huge, did you see it also? It should be fair to assume the tahoes/Suburban shave them also. I'd be curious as to what the effects are by modifying/covering it. I've yet to drive...

    Excellent, thanks for the info!

    Catch Can

It would not at all surprise me if GM attempted to deny any sort of warranty repair on an engine issue if one had the catch can, tuner, etc. I am told they have to actually prove that the failure in question was due to the said modifications, so being able to prove that is another issue...

2016 Tahoe LTZ. Leveled/Lifted. First run on the beach!

It's got a good stance to it. I was almost certain the wheels were 20" but I wasn't sure of the size. I've been set on keeping the OEM wheels when I get mine, and just going up a couple of sizes on the tires, but yours gets me thinking of different options. I did see one or two guys here...

Also interested in the color after installing these. Also, does anyone have the link for the vanquish reverse lights?

Sounds like a great deal, good to hear. Enjoy the drive back to the south!

Decision made. Take delivery tomorrow on a new 2017 Denali

Congrats! How have your dealings been with Laura GMC? I've read they are very straightforward with the pricing, etc. Are you trading something in on the Yukon?

Looks good! What are the specifics on the leveling kit, wheels and tires?

    Maybe Time To Trade

The 2500 diesels are nice. I have one now, although not a GM. My work needs have changed since buying it and my family is growing so a crew cab truck with eventually two kids/car seats in the back isn't very practical to do much with. So, I'm going the opposite direction I guess. As fun as...

In need of a new SUV

I'm not sure what is more ridiculous-the poor quality of that Tahoe or the repeated "that is normal" from the service department staff. I've heard that line of bs before. They say it as if you haven't ever owned a full size SUV or pickup before and don't know any better.

In need of a new SUV

I'd have to agree with this. I generally do not keep vehicles more than 10-15k miles outside of the bumper to bumper warranty. Many I've not kept past the warranty expiration at all. If my family or financial circumstances dictated that I change this, I'd purchase a GM extended warranty...

Considering a tune for the Tahoe, but...

Answering your question is somewhat dependent on the dealership and their attitude towards tuners/programmers. My Chevy dealer sells programmers and speedo recalibrators in their parts department, and although I've never had warranty work denied (nor any major mechanical failures), clearly they...

Leveling kit, tires, wheels, grill installed- 2015 Yukon

Denton-Yukon looks incredible, well done! I'm also interested to hear your opinions on the ride quality vs stock and whether or not you also did anything to the rear......

I've had 3 of these new Tahoe/Yukons..no issues

Drove a new 2017 Tahoe premier 2wd with 3.42's and 20in factory wheels today..... No buffeting. It did have a vibration I could feel in the steering wheel starting at around 35-40mph. It did not worsen at higher speeds though. It felt like out of round tires, based on my past experience with...

Catching the last Snow of the Season, our first road trip.

Nice write up. Glad to hear your Suburban performed so well. I'm purchasing either that or a Tahoe this year and am also looking at changing out factory tires, although I don't want to destroy the ride quality so I won't go overly aggressive.

    BB tune '17 5.3

I wasn't aware of that. I've only run 87 from top tier certified stations on my 5.3's in the past, as I was under the impression that GM recommended that octane for the 5.3. Will have to see how the SUV does with 87 once I take delivery.
