    BB tune '17 5.3

Good to hear, thanks for the info. I'm going to be doing the BB or one of the handhelds on the vehicle I am purchasing soon. Disabling AFM, changing tire size in the computer are both a must have. I'd love to eliminate or greatly reduce the hunting for gears and frequent shifting that these...

    BB tune '17 5.3

Did you disable the AFM on your truck with this tune? Tahoe or Suburban? Stock wheels/tires? I'm interested to hear any more details you may be able to provide on this.

    Weathertech vs Husky Weatherbeater

Got ya, I see. My wife has the weatherbeater Husky in her traverse and the 2nd row fit is not as good as it should be, although the front and cargo sections are perfect. She doesn't care but I couldn't live with it in mine. I don't care for the way they don't flatten out in a couple of areas...

    Weathertech vs Husky Weatherbeater

Cardude-they are the exaxt same pattern as my Husky weatherbeaters, and look like they lay nice and flat. I always thought the xact contour versions were a totally different tread and more "rubbery" than plastic as the weatherbeaters feel.

    2017 Yukon Superchip Flashpaq

I was wondering the same thing. Superchips is the only one so far that I know of who offers a tuner (other than Blackbear) for the 2017 GM suv's. Hypertech and Diablo do not support the 2017 models yet.

    285's on a 2017

Thanks for the info, truck looks great by the way. That's the first one I've personally seen with 275's on the factory 18's. That is a pretty big hit to the fuel mileage. I'm looking at either your tires, the Nitto Ridge grapplers or possibly the Michelins, all in a 275/70. The Michelins...

I've had 3 of these new Tahoe/Yukons..no issues

I drove a brand new 2017 Suburban 2wd on 20in factory wheels a week ago. The buffeting sound was so faint at highway speeds that I'm not sure I would've even noticed it if I'd had the radio on and/or not have read so many posts here about it. It was detectable above 45mph but even at 75-80mph...

    2017 Tahoe vs Suburban

Yes the garage issue has me unsure of the best move here. As for the film-I've never had it on one of our vehicles, and have seen many cars here in the south with it applied. I've also seen many tahoes/escalades where the film wasn't applied to the front bumper and it looks rough after a year...

    285's on a 2017

Good to hear that the road imperfections are better with these. Do you have any info on what you lost in mpg with them? The 285/65-18 or the 275/70-18 will work leveled from what the dealer has told me. The 275 is approx .5in taller but narrower by about the same, and opens up some other...

    2017 Tahoe vs Suburban

Actually, putting it on the far side was my intention, however our water heater location on that side prevents me from getting a sub in far enough to close the garage door. That leaves the home entry side as my only option. There's no question I'd be happier with a suburban..... the looks...

    22'' GMC Reps(Style 44)--What tire??

I can't comment on the defenders in a 22" size, but I have had more than one set of Michelin ltx m/s (version just before they were renamed "defender"). Among numerous sets of BFG AT KO's, Toyo ATII, and various BFG muds and Toyo MT's......nothing rode as well (or as quiet) as the Michelin m/s...

Show off your 2015+ leveled Tahoes and Yukons!

I have done this on my current truck and the last GM truck I owned as well, with the Hypertech speedometer recalibrator you are talking about. I would highly recommend it. It's very simple to do and will have a noticeable impact on correcting shift timing/shift points after going up to a...

    Husky Liners X-ACT CONTOUR

I would agree that the 2nd row coverage is not good with that center section bubbling up like that. I've had the wetherbeater version of the Husky in my last two trucks and in my wife's current and last two suvs prior.....never encountered this. I wonder if they would be any different, figment...

How to get rid of ghosting

The 3m adhesive removal wheel is excellent....insert it into your drill and keep a low speed, take your time and it works wonders. I've used mine on the last 4 trucks I've had with zero issues and no ghosting as pictured here. I always follow up after the wheel with some polish and wax, looks...

    Husky Liners X-ACT CONTOUR

Not trying to hijack the thread, but does anyone know if the 3rd row can be folded flat as normal with the 3rd row floor liner in place.....in any brand, weathertech, Husky Xact/weatherbeater? I'm interested in one piece 2nd/3rd row liners and I think that limits me to either the weathertech or...

    2017 Tahoe vs Suburban

I'm with you on that, but fortunately my wife won't be driving this one, she has a traverse that she likes a lot. As tight a fit as the Sub is in my garage, I can see it inevitably getting scratched and scuffed on the front end from the wife and child squeezing in between it and the wall...

The Yukon looks fantastic with those tires! Well done.

    2017 Tahoe vs Suburban

Tony-good point on the wind issue. It was windier than normal here today, off and on. I suspect with no wind I may have noticed little to nothing in the suburban. Someone mentioned fitting vehicles in their garages with the roof top carriers...part of the reason for my drive today was to see...

    2017 Tahoe vs Suburban

Update: took a new 2017 suburban LS with trailering pkg/3.42 rear end and 20in factory wheels on a 30 mile test drive today, even mix of hwy and city driving. I kept it at 70-75mph on the highway to see if I could sense any buffeting or vibrations, radio off the entire time. The first 15 miles...

GM is buying back my Yukon

That's good advice actually, I've done that with prior pickups where I could not locate the color with options I wanted. Katzkin leather is better quality and more durable than Chevrolet and Ram leather, no experience with GMC.

2017 z71 Tahoe Midnight Edition Assist Steps

The most accurate thing to do if you don't come up with a part number here is to get the VIN of a midnight z71 off a unit on a dealers lot and go into the parts Dept and have them get a price and part number. Then find them cheaper from an online GM parts retailer if possible.

Agreed....that suburban will look complete with the window trim and lug nuts black.

    285's on a 2017

I've seen at least two other threads here where people have put 285/65-18 on the factory 18in wheel with a 2" front leveling kit. I think it is a big improvement over the stock look and they reported no rubbing. TxjakeCA....how's the ride on the E rated 285 BFG's? I'm looking to level and...

    2017 Tahoe vs Suburban

Good points....I'm several years (and a couple of vehicles) away from mine being able to sit outside of a child seat of some sort. My garage is long enough to accommodate a suburban, just need to verify that I can walk in front of or behind it once it's in, and although it will be tight, I...

    2017 Tahoe vs Suburban

I agree 100% on the cargo space behind the Tahoe 3rd seat, it's basically nonexistent. That's been the main thing that has always had me leaning towards the suburban.
