Yeah I also just thought about winter driving and I think the 20" hankook might be better for me since the truck will be driven in snow. Damn I like the looks of the 22's. I just read some reviews in the 275/55/22 Pirelli and they have some pretty bad reviews about tread wear. Also some people...
Hey everyone, I am looking to buy some LTZ rims for my 2004 Tahoe z71
I am debating on 20"s vs 22"s
Not only that though. I already have a set of tires for either
I have a brand new set of 275/55r20 hankook Dynapro which is the standard size tire that come from the factory on the nnbs...
Where can I find some 20" LTZ rims for a good price in polished aluminum with the Chevy centercaps? I already have a new set of tires for them. I checked eBay for some decent prices but seeing if there is anything else out there
hi everyone, I'm looking at a 2004 Tahoe z71 in California. I live in Michigan. I just got off FaceTime with the seller and the problem is when switching from 2hi to 4hi the switch will not stay in 4hi. I think it blinked and it goes into 4auto instead. Not sure if that made sense. Lol.

The shop did have the truck overnight and got the chance to cold start it first thing in the morning and they heard the noise it's making.
Let me guess, every shop I take it to does not know what their talking about or know what their doing is what your saying? Why would yet another shop turn...
If I do the rear main seal do you still think I should do the oil pan gasket even though that's not leaking?
Also $1200 seams pretty high. I got 3 different quotes on the rear main seal replacement. $250, $400 and $600. The two cheaper ones were through transmission shops.
So I have a leak at the rear main seal.
Guy at the shop said "it's nothing out the ordinary" and I don't really need to do anything about it if I don't want to. He said it's a very minor leak but I'm very anal about these kinds of things and want to get it fixed.
If I don't get it fixed can...
Had a shop diagnose my truck and there is no air coming through the exhaust manifold and they diagnosed the sound as lifter tick or tap
My truck sounds exactly the same as this one
So I had a quart of oil drained today and added a quart of marvel mystery oil. I drove 30 miles on it.
Will...
I have a little "slop" or "play" in my steering also on the freeway in my 03 Tahoe. I actually did a search a few days ago also and people are saying they adjusted their steering gearbox?
I'm not arguing with anybody about the severity of this issue but I found it interesting about what he had to say. He also recommended undercoating the line. I do admit that I will be looking into changing them but he was basically saying if it ain't broke don't fix it and I said well what about...
I recently bought my Tahoe with a tinted brow on my windshield. It comes down fairly low. I think it's either 5 or 20 percent. I don't really like it. I've been debating taking it off. It makes the windshield look a lot smaller especially at night since visibility is low. Kind of reminds me of...
Looks like a steal. How many miles when you bought it? Did it have any major issues or anything?
I thought I got a good deal on a 2003 Tahoe z71 in 2013. It had 109k miles with 2 owners. It was listed for 8500 on Craigslist and I ended up picking it up for 6 grand. It was super clean. I put...
So today I called Napa complete auto care in Michigan. They are a well known and reputable shop. A chain store as a matter of fact. So I asked the owner who has been there forever the question about the brake lines.
I told him that I've been on the forums and reading about the common issue...
How bad was or loud was your tick? Could it be heard on acceleration?
Mine is very loud on cold start and on acceleration. I'm just not sure if the gasket is also leaking if the clamp will fix the whole issue.
I'm saying a visual inspection for the brake lines should be sufficient to tell if they have already been replaced but also if they have not been replaced and don't look rusted or anything and the shop tells me that there's no reason to replace them then I disagree with replacing them anyways...
I will definitely have the brake lines checked. Just a visual inspection should be ok I'm assuming
As far as the exhaust manifold bolt being broken goes. I've been asking myself if this is actually the source of all this noise. I'm really hoping it is and not something else with the engine. One...
Seams a little low for an 07. Aren't those suppose to get better with the active fuel management. I figured the 07 and up would get like 18-20
I drove a 2015 model Tahoe that I rented from Michigan to Chicago. About a 400 mile trip. I averaged 19.7 mpg. Mostly freeway though
I've been driving my 2003 tahoe z71 with the 5.3 for two days now and have been getting 18 mpg based on 100 miles driven so far. 70 percent freeway. I know that is not enough track record but I had the same truck years ago and was consistent getting around 17 with mostly freeway and 15 city.
Of...
