Just what are these "tablets" you speak of and where do you get them??? Though I am very hesitant to insert anything in the engine. For instance: radiator leak stop...which ends up "stopping" up more then you bargained for!
A couple of the garages told me to just keep adding coolant as needed -...
2005 XL...adding 1/2" a week. Three garages + the Dealer all say: "I dunno"!
No symptoms like rough idle (could balance a nickel on it), loss of MPG (none - gets 22 on the road), smell outside-or-in (none).
Did the big 4 Tests multiple times at different garages: Visual look, Pressure test...
Couldn't agree more. I'm single, no kids or ex...doubt I'll be driving from the back seat, so have no use what-so-ever for a Rear Entertainment System. That's why I may settle on a Suburban HC version.
X-cellent idea. NJ garage just put in dye and finds nothing leaking. Will be driving back to MD and UV check it again. Seems I can buy a UV lite at Auto Zone or Advance Auto.
P.S. - is there any amount of losing coolant that is "normal"???
OK...now where's MY coolant going??? Have to add about 3/8" to the reservoir every few weeks. Dealer finds nothing. Garage #1 replaces radiator cap and hose clamps. Garage #2 does pressure test = OK. Garage #3 does dye test and another pressure test = no leaks. Oil always looks perfectly good...
Quite the conundrum now. 2021 Denali XL vs. Suburban High Country. Same options, same price. Except for color (exterior & interior). Leaning toward the HC as the Denali has so much gingerbread.
Someone answered one of my posts:
"There are 4 actuators for the front AC and 2 in the back. The left one is on the bottom behind the console or middle area. The right side is on top in the middle. The recirc is on top but towards the right and the "blend" is under the driver's foot well.
The...
2005 XL
Has exact same problem. Mine hot on the left/cold on the right. VERY common. Don't jump to the conclusion that it is the actuator on the passenger floor even if it was making clicking sounds. Mine was the difficult one ... behind the middle dash. Replaced and works perfectly now. Even...
6 total actuators, 3 ambient sensors...forgetaboutit. Will just take it to the Dealer and say the magic words: "Fix It...I'll pick it up in the morning!". It's the easiest! LOL
Had the ol' hot on the left/cold on the right. Replaced the difficult behind-the-dash actuator = fixed. Now...dial in 60 or 88 = the same output at the vents!?!?!?!? When I dial up to the 90 degree setting it trips over. Nothing in-between?!?!?
