Adding seatbelt chime to 2003 Tahoe
I know, I learn some new function on mine every day...chime goes thru the radio and on/off or even the volume of it can be changed. -

You got that right! I bought my 2005 Yukon XL SLT/AutoRide 3 months ago. Had 63,000, loaded and the Stabilitrak transfer case (you know, the Stabilitrak/squiggly line/4 Low). Dealer asking $18,900. Demoulding
On those car rebuild/customize cable shows I see them using fishing line behind emblems, medallions, stuff glued on, etc to get them off. I'll sometime want to take the "Yukon XL" script off the tailgate and was looking for the right way too. -
Lug Nut Size
My 7/8" feels loose on the nut...like a 13/16" would be perfect, but there are no 13/16" lug wrenches. I know the nuts themselves are metric (it's stamped on the nut). Are my nuts worn out (ummm wait-a-minute) or is it a size issue (wait - this IS still the Yukon thread). -

Name That Smell - and Where'd It Come From!
2005 XL, flawless trips to NJ (21.4mpg). But - to WV another story. Halfway up a 5 mile 9% grade, all of a sudden, car fills with an exhaust smell. Clears on the downside. Seems to come back on hill climbs. Got back to MD and when cold in the am = no smell...10 miles down the highway I swear I...- SnowBuck

Whatever it is - I have it. The 2005 XL w/Stabilitrac (AWD?) AND 4-wheel LOW. Drove it in 11" of new snow and ice like a madman this week. Bought the # 15051511 (color = neutral) for the 2005 Yukon XL. Color perfect...problem is the width at the rear. Length stretches fine from the front setting (3rd row removed). BUT - the rear end measures 55" which is 1/2" too narrow to hold in the rear slots@#%^%#%~#%~#%~#% Its almost like the... -

Dome lite - 2005 Yukon XL SLT
Yu can adjust how long the headlights stay on after you turn it off. You can hit a button to keep the dome lites off all-together. BUT...if on...when you close the door...they stay on for 20 or so seconds and fade to off. Can you adjust the time on THAT? Like - shut the door and OFF! -
Tahoe 3rd row seat questions
Taking lighting in mind...yes...I'd think so. It's really called "neutral" as a color name vs the "tan" which is really more brown. "Neutral" is closer to a grey/pewter. I have it and on the build sheet its called "neutral". -

I do know I've seen them at Best Buy where they trasnmit to a specified FM radio station. But I'd ask a professional installer if it can't be wired to the radio just as the original...don't see why not! Yes...the original 7" isn't near big enough for me...I mean...- SnowBuck
