Yep youre both correct. You can unplug to test. Unfortunately same result. So far unplugged high side and also replaced coolent temp sensor. Going to throw a new thermostat in just for the hell of it approaching summer. Some have fixed with a thermostat but I dont understand that theory when the...
08 Tahoe.
Weird it started the other day while driving on the first really hot day out. I noticed the snowflake icon on my a/c flashing and my ac got warm. I got out the truck at my next destination with it running and the fans were on wide open. I checked coolant, good. A/C belt, good. Got out...
Motor mounts looks good. Got under it today. Next time I wheel I’m going to put it in 1 and see if it does it instead of D. When you said that I was kinda thinking this never happened till after i lifted it the other week. Maybe something to do with this and linkage.
It’s raining today so I’ll...
I used to be a master mechanic back in the 90’s not saying I know much and here for your help because it’s strange.
fluid does not smell burnt.
Have a feeling TC light will be a speed sensor. Grabbing a bidirectional scanner.
Rear diff I ruled out. Def seems trans related. But this is like no...
All 4 tires are brand new and same 35x12.50r20. This never happened with stock wheels in tires in the two months i drove prior but i never took offroad. The Tc like flickers everyonce in a while at wot at high speeds.
What gets me more is the jumping out of gear happened again but in traffic. I...
Went wheeling to test out my newly lifted 08 tahoe BP. Its got a G80 rear and everything was going well until I was in 2wd in a sandy area I went to accelerate and it seemed to kick out of gear. Well thats what it felt like the RPM's shot up with zero resistance like you thru it in neutral with...
I was more worried about them being 12 ply and 3ply sidewall. I ran them at 65 to start no full contact patch. Then at 58 off road and slipped on everything not mud. At 48 now and gotta say the drive so far is the best yet and get good contact patch while DD. These f load are stiff and made for...
I’m running the Hercules TIS TT1 and it’s an F load tire. My truck came with max trailering package and I realize these tires far exceed my load use.
They say max pressure 80 psi

I have a Border Patrol 08 had stock 16” steeliest and no sensors. I swapped to 35’s and have been driving for 3 weeks and today boom service tire monitor system is on dash. Any reason for this to come in if you don’t have sensors? Well and are supposed to not have sensors.
So 3.73's are doing the 35's justice for now. I am going to get them done. I found 2 different L92 6.0L for $850 at the yard. I may snag one. What else is needed accessory wise, ecu etc?
That photo actually says alot. My bar now is similar to the one on the left. But just enough difference in the hump and mounting area. I believe the front sway on the right would work no issue. Thats the style I'm after when I go to the yard this weekend. I'm just surprised to hear RC never run...
Yeh pretty sure the PPV or BP has a different bar fitted by Baja Fabrication. Thats what was on my springs and other suspension components with Procomp shocks.
I'm heading to a Junkyard here in LA this weekend and plan to grab a regular sway bar. Then I should be able to install the kickers...
Definetly a good catch. Thanks. I will inspect further when I get home. Luckily there are about $40 a side from rockauto. May suck to tear it back down but I also may be able to weasel them in I hope without full disassembly.
Thank you for that reference. I believe I may have figured out the bar difference. The factory bar is posted above. Mine looks like a Dorman from searching bars online. Alot of room inbetween mounting points and the side where the hump begins. Closest I have found to my bar. All other bars hump...
The more I stare at this the bar on my truck looks different. The angle is off. This may be the whole issue here. But I wonder where the aftermarket bar came from unless Baja Fabrications installed during the BP conversion
So my bar is a tough one looks factory but notice the hump isnt as long as a factory avalanche I had in my lot.
The Avalanche the hump starts right out of the mount. My hump starts several inches over and looks to be angled just slightly different. I may grab a junkyard bar and compare.
I'm still waiting on RC to confirm a few things. The holes in the crossmember were drilled by RC in the right place according to dimensions.
My thoughts are go without the kickers all together. Leaving me wondering why this wasnt a simple install. RC says this has never happened.
The other...
Just an update. Compared bars to another tahoe and avalanche. Sway is correct and in right orientation. Issue is the sway bar drop is too much still. i’m waiting on RC and have confirmed a bunch of dimensions but seems this one is a weird one for them. Even stranger the sway bar mounts to the...
I'm having issue when installing rough country kicker bars on my RC 7.5 lifted truck. The sway bar hump ends up hitting the kicker bar. I'm being asked by rough country was my sway bar swapped with a newer truck model or aftermarket. I painted the bar when I had it off but believe it to be OEM...
Kicker bars have predrilled holes in the crossmember for the mounts.
RC says I have the sway bar mounts are backwards. They want me to flip them and switch sides. Guess there is a small angle to them. I dont see how this will make a huge difference but hoping for one.
