Why not just super glue those small clear rubber pad things you get with picture frames that pad them from scratching the wall. Same things used for padding cabinet door close.
Easy to do.
Either get a Kenwood head unit, with the convenient CAMERA button to switch on rear or front cameras. Or get a Pioneer with the capability (but the turn on is buried in a menu).
Or you can rig some switches to share the same video channel between one input and have two cameras...
I just installed a Pioneer MVH-1400NEX. I had to cut out the plastic tray, but otherwise it fit.
You can avoid cutting out the tray (not a big deal) if you get a shallow digital media unit (no CD player). Alpine, JCV, and Kenwood make shallow units. They were more expensive, for some damn...
This sounds like a clogged cat-verter to me...
You can diagnose by looking at expected vs. actual O2 sensor readings in combination with expected vs. actual laser temp readings before, at, and behind the cat.
Look up South Main Auto on YouTube -- he diagnoses this stuff all the time.
Drop both sides of the front differential and tube as far as they will go (supported along the way). Remove pan by fishing it out in the 1 way it'll come out -- face forward toward front of car, shift and shimmy to your right a bit as you bring it back toward the rear of the car. May need to...
It's lubed where it connects on both sides, albeit that really shouldn't be necessary, plus I attempted to pack additional lube into the articulating shaft area, but there already was some.
I went under the column again and see some kind of black and bare metal object and by feel I could...
I don't have barn doors. I prefer the tailgate.
I've looked at a few NP246 rebuild videos. I can probably handle that myself, assuming the clutches aren't toast. Considering the car's been in 2WD mode for probably 180K of the 192K it has, hopefully they're fine.
It's just a beautiful color that ages well and needs to be offered on every Chevrolet truck, at least.
Also, behold my Tahoe "flexing"... because I think I'm cool.
I enjoyed the steering wheel rattle driving the trails... that was awesome after replacing literally freakin' everything.
So I have this friggin' annoying clunk going into gear, switching from D to R, etc. Also a sort of rub/grind sort of noise in 4WD. Took a video of my exploits under the vehicle and want your thoughts.
IS THIS NORMAL?
The last place I went to was a Firestone. I'm giving them one more chance and having them use a different alignment tech. I don't have the sheet - he gave me one and castor was red, I had positive camber, and toe out. It was questionable. I do my own alignments on my race car but they won't...
All parts are installed correctly -- really hard to not install these incorrectly. I have no frame damage that I can detect.
I replaced all the steering bits, too... that plastic bearing, the upper intermediate shaft. The lower shaft was fine. I still get rattle but it's more like the...
The steering gear has also been replaced with an AC Delco reman. The original steering gear had 1/4 vertical play on the sector shaft for some friggin' reason. The new one seems to be fine.
On my 2002, I replaced LITERALLY EVERYTHING under the front of the car from ball joints to bushings to pitman and idler arms to shocks to camber adjustment pins and cams. All of it. Why? Because at 192K I decided to do a complete refresh of the front while parts were still available. Give me...
Okay, thanks! The AC seems to be working. I haven't really needed it to COOL DOWN vs. just condition the air without much temp difference between inside/outside yet this year, so we'll see.
The AC accumulator doo-dad on the passenger-side firewall of my 2002 Tahoe (it's covered in a silver thermal blanket) makes a loud hissing sound when the engine is turned off. The sound trails off after it seems to "lose pressure". Has anyone experienced this? Is this normal or am I about to...
It's so comical that GM decided that we want auto-on headlamps but don't want to pay for a switch that actually has an OFF and an AUTO selection. Typical...
Yes, you can do what you are thinking as long as you can install the speakers properly so they actually product good sound.
You will lose fade if you intend on running front and rear speakers, but I've never come across anyone that actually cares about that except ultra SQ people (like me).
