Looks good!
Just make sure your gonna like the balance between lift and tire size. I went 8" and ended up moving to 37s cause 35s looked almost funny small!
What runners are you looking to get? Thought about just 4 of the 8" steps... you should see my girlfriend try and crawl in
Just broke 150k. I do not do to much mudding or super intense off roading... currently looking for an old Cherokee xj or samurai for that, but it has seen it's fair share since I got it.
The joint was a ***** to get out... friend had a cheap bearing press... and we didn't have anything to mount...
So... if you read my post "is this the issue?"... I figured out the problem and fixed it today!
Seems as though the u-joint on rear drive shaft that connects to rear differential exploded... one side the c-ring had completely blown off and there wasnt a single bearing in it.. the rest of the...
Need to replace U-joint on my rear drive shaft... anyone have a recommendation for a heavy duty one they have used?
Feel like a stock one wouldn't handle well with all the extra torque I imagine it has to handle with the lift and 37s
Ok, will look at all joints in morning and see if I can see anything obvious.
I was going to do my brakes soon, and it could certainly be that... didnt even cross my mind. my mind tends to always go worst case scenario
So... I hit a gnarly pothole going about 45mph tonight.. then I started hearing this wonderful sound from the undercarriage.
I got under the car and think I identified the problem but am wondering what yall think...
The sound only occurs when I accelerate and the vehicle is in motion. If it is...
Good evening everyone,
Been looking into best ways to transport spare as it will not fit underneath. I have given the cargo basket on top... but I do alot of outdoors stuff and plan on using it to transport gear and do not want to have to work around the tire.
I have been looking at the Wilco...
To your first point there is no exposed metal! But good shout... I had to go double check it!
And to your second point that is a good idea.. i have yet to hear any interference but will definitely keep an ear out for it!
I'm going to give it about a week, make sure i have the amps tuned to...
Anyone on here have nice rugged looking fender flares?
I'm struggling to find a decent set for a tahoe and wondering if anyone has some or has tried retrofitting any particular ones?
Thanks
Also, I know it's not the preferred method... but installed additional battery under the hood which is linked to main battery for additional power, and I know the capacitor is old school but it was already mounted to the sub box so I figured what the hell glows pretty colors...
Of course I decided to do this when the high in dallas the past 2 days has been 37... and I dont have a garage to work in... but finally done
All of it is wired up... tucked away, and looking pretty clean. I will say... I have learned alot since my first audio instal 3 cars ago. the first one...
Just got the last few parts I wanted o do my audio instal..
Will be upgrading to a Sony XAV-AX5000
All of my cabin speakers will be on a hifonics zues 1800w amp, and the 12" kicker sub will be wired up to a hifonics zues 2400w amp.
Always been a 10" sub person, I believe they are more clean...
My code popped a few weeks ago in colorado... let it sit the rest of the day and the next day it was gone. I think it had something to do with ice in under carriage, or water in transfer case or somthing.
I have seen that code pop from overshooting 4x4 hi and accidentally going to 4x4 low while...
I just replaced heater hoses for $55... the hose was 42 and the pack of quick connect releases from oriely was about 12.50... took about 30 minutes
And just ordered new heavy duty control arms for 450, and assume it will take a few hours.
As for the rest I'd say you could most likely do...
